Best City Pubs

Postby Baron Greenback » Wed Nov 21, 2012 11:43 am

I'm heading to town for the cricket this weekend.
Just wondering what are some of the best city pubs to check out.
Normally go to pubs on Hindley St and North Adelaide, plus the Casino, but want to venture elsewhere.

The Tapp Inn at Kent Town is good with a group of mates. Get a driver and a 4 iron and belt some old balls* around.

Seriously are there any Pubs left in Adelaide that aren't pokie palaces and shock horror might actually employ musicians? My old pub the Hilton wouldn't even let me and it was my decades of alcoholism that ******* paid for the rennovations in the first place. Where's the gratitude LOL.

**** gambling, where's the piss?

I reckon we popped in there briefly before Foo Fighters last year.
Looked pretty good. Might check it out again.

I like the Palais. Went there once a few years back.
What's the name of that joint across the road on the corner? That was pretty interesting.

Depends when you go of course!

All of them are pretty chilled, not chocka block (depending on what time you go).

I had my 40th at the Gilbert St. Love the place.
