Opportunity? Don't know how regular he was in the league side for the bays and maybe they let him look for other options?

I read somewhere that he had been "delisted" by Glenelg.

Correct.

Because now that Norwood are premiers Kris Grant feels all players at Central should win popularity contests at the Norwood football club

I wonder how his brother Matt reacted to Shannon being told he would have "limited opportunities".

I guess not too badly if he is still out at the Bay. Could be a interesting match up if they cross paths and play on each other.

I think there were a few SANFL clubs chasing the services of Jarred...

Geezus, has a club ever lost the same mount of talent that North's lost this year? Can see us dropping away big time.
Alleway - Jack Oatey Medalist former captain
Allan - 3 time Magarey Medalist (coudl have been 5 and a liston) former captain
Mayes - undoubted talent especially up forward
Currie - close to the premier ruck man of the comp
Bennett - IMHO the best on baller in the comp as the year got longer.

Sad part about it, is none of them could really be helped/stopped as the club did nothing wrong, just a variety of circumstances all culiminating in the same year.

Norwood lost a stack of quality Sanfl players in the last two seasons and have shown you can still compete with the best . North are always active in the recruiting market, you can still be amongst it in 13'

Pretty sure correct. Know what hes on. Opportunity also plays a part.

Speaking with Nwd ppl, South have offered big $$ to borderline league players, paying well over market.

He was delisted by Glenelg. He didn't leave by his own choice, he didn't leave for more coin - he left because he wasn't required. If south are paying big bucks for him so be it but he didn't leave Brighton Rd for more money.
