know for a fact that he was told he wasnt going to get the job
he came to see me about what he should do due to the fact that when he was told the presentation night was coming up
and did not know whether to go or not
i not only work and assosiate with him but also ex presidents of the clubs and several players and fathers and they all say the same thing
i agree its the clubs right to pick who they want and i have no problem with that but for me and the little i know to loose someone of his standing as a young family man,a person who has high ethical and moralistic views which he proves with his actions and willingness to help out has me bemused and confused
personally i would think that a club could not afford to loose someone like that
and the fact that players have also showed their absolute faith in him and ackowledged that by their approaches to him and his future plans shows that
and to think he was offered a great chance to learn at a good club under a great coach but knocked that back in the belief that he was wanted has made him well aware that you can never assume anything especially when they are only words

I don't know who told him he wouldn't get the job but he could have applied and made his case like the other applicants. If he felt he wouldn't get a fair go he could have spoken to the chairman about it. I still don't think he left on bad terms, no doubt he'll be seen around the club and I expect he'll be there at times this season if he has time. I would say that when a bloke shakes your hand and sincerely wishes you the best for the upcoming season that it's fair to call it good terms.
