I reckon "Bubbles" Mckay would have been on a few $ or an incentive scheme in his time at Keswick

its all relative, i mean we all take it as serious as we can when were out there and all clubs try and be as professional as they can, and to gain better players or coaches by paying them ( if your club can afford it) i see no problem with it

He was fitted out with some gear the year Morphy's tried to poach him (worth about 20% of what they were offering) and he used an ancient bat until he went to England where he was given the one he is using now.

"Pub cricket"? Slightly better than pub cricket I would say.I love pub cricket, dont get me wrong,in fact I like the pub after cricket, during winter, the odd weeknight.....back to the cricket.

No one who has seen any amount of Section 1-2 of the ASCA would not have said that.

Nice try Gowser - Heath approached Morphies about playing but demanded money. Too rich for a club that doesn't even control the bar where they play - that belongs to the footy club. It didn't bother Heath though, he was able to "up the price" where he was, and now that the money has gone, so has he !!

You must be your club's resident einstein. Morphy's approached Heath, along with a couple of other clubs over the years. The only player who has ever been paid cash at Keswick was Darren Marsh and he was being paid as a coach.

Try these names on for size,

Sampson - ICC
Hopkins - WYC
Thomas - Morphys
Press - WYC

Surely these guy's aren't playing for nothing.

Oh and don't for get O'Malley - ANA who was getting $100 a game this year.

We have,in the past, paid a coach, but WE DO NOT PAY PLAYERS! If you consider the A grade captain gets his subs ($70) for free, then he gats about $6 per game.
