The club should of had the balls to p!ss alot of those blokes off years ago, if they had of the club & Ando ( when coach ) would of had a couple more premierships to their name!

Come on NM. Thought your knowledge would be better than that. None of these blokes that are leaving ever played under Ando. The ones that did play under him are happily still at Gaza.
And I don't think we need to go down the path again of Ando's coaching again. We have won a grand final (under our current coach) without him. Say no more.
But for the record, we have recruited quite well so far. Some very very handy 0 pointers returning to the club, has us in a pretty good position at the moment.
And I'd be careful with the sort of stuff that you are saying Swingman about the boys that have left, and their supposed "bad" habits" they need to fund. Probably not the best accusation to make....

Grainger's record speaks for everything BOP. Gaza would have to be the toughest Div 1 club in the league to coach. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

He sort of hinted in his interview with us at medal night that he wouldn't go on. Family comes first....

AS FC said, trimmer is standing down to spend more time with his wife and kidders. He'll be sorely missed around the place.

No, only reporting what was told to me by a Gaza person. Seems it's a touchy subject BOP, all clubs go through it so don't worry. They come and they go as you should know, I seem to recollect a few years back something similar with a couple of brothers doing same.

I was advised only a couple of days ago that they had resigned with Broadies, but that Ryan Jarman had finished up.
Hawkboy, I think you will find nearly all Modbury Boys wont be at Broadview next year. Some country, some other SAAFL clubs and some overseas.
I think that will come as a nasty shock to the Broadview Football Director as he is telling another story. Any hope of the boys coming back to the nest?
HAAHHAHA no chance of anyone wanting to go back to Modbury
Cash why is there no chance of anyone wanting to go back to Modbury? Don't guys want to play with mates they have had for life? Be in an environment where they have friends, not just people wanting something from them? Is money the only reason they play the game?

Live by the gun, die by the gun... :)

No, Marcus was talked into doing this year; he is much loved and respected around the club on all fronts, (admin, coaches, players, lower grades) and we would have recontracted aussie bob in seconds had he shown any interest in going on.

Think you may have misinterpreted my point. I was merely commenting on the fact (in a smart arse way) that the previous 200 posts said the exact same thing that you said.
And I'm not saying that a few players leaving shouldn't be commented on at all. I agree it is news.
It may seem I've been touchy on this subject, but I've just been trying to set the record straight on a few rumors.
But like I said previously, I'm not worried at all at the position we're in at the moment. Quite the oppostite actually.

And who might these players be? And what country club are you talking about?
Coz this sounds like the info my cab driver told me that he heard from his cousins mate about 10 players from div 1 all signing with this club in the country somewhere between Adelaide and Darwin!
