Just to chime in if they played country Vic last year that would make them 2 points each.

Really? I thought McGahey was stitched up as an Assistant Coach at Birdwood, plus he's Birdwoods captain isn't he??
Great pick up for Ironbank if true though.

Think the coin speaks volumes in McGahey's case and that he puts more emphasis on that than team success. He'll retire a wealthier man but will have a reputation few would want.

Not sure if that's fair on Magoo. Yes he was a well paid player but once he pulled on the guernsey it would be hard to find a better team man. He is one of the most professional country footballers (on and off the field) I've seen and takes his football very serious.
The Birdwood footy club is a better place for the service he's given over the last 4 years.

I could be a pretty good team man if you pay me what you paid him  I'd be pretty professional too and I wouldn't leave you for another club.

Got to agree with Gimp there- You wouldn't find too many recruits that would work harder on game day and keep themself in as good a nick as McGahay so I think that is a reflection of his value as a team man- he had 5 or 6 good years for Birdwood so perhaps he is tired of either getting pumped (in Central) or beating up on hacks (in Country) so maybe he is looking for a greater challenge whilst he still has the capability to mix it with the better players? Also, not sure if they are mates but you'd think there'd be an old North Adelaide connection with Ladhams at Ironbank.

Would Ironbank be regretting appointing their new coach, now that 3 of their best players apparently are off to Myponga - (as discussed on GSFL thread)?

I don't think so and it would be fair to say 2 of them were of quality not 3. I'm told IB wouldn't have been able to afford to keep them anyway. All 3 playing for big cash at Pongy apparently.

Yeah 2 were quality but only one played consistently well week in week out. This was on the cards well before the coach was appointed so it was all about the $$. In this age of footy you find out who your mates really are! Still a good feeling about the club with some more than handy replacements so bring on preseason...

Is wendelborn the consistent one of the three you are talking about? Haven't seen him play since junior days is he still a flashy fit winger/ flanker type of player? Who rates himself pretty well. Made the state country team last year I noticed. Would be his third or fourth club by now?

I would think A F would be talking about Clements as the consistant one ther kitm tall defender plays on the big forwards and regularly does a good job the other 2 are hit and miss but that being said both wendles and gaz willy have the capacity to tear a game appart .

Both the others look pretty consistent really.

Willams: 17 games, 31 goals, only missed the best 4 times:

Wendelborn: 15 games, 32 goals, in the best 7 times

http://www.sportingpulse.com/team_info. ... 9-15204074

Clements: 16 games, a second best, a third and 2 sixths.

http://www.sportingpulse.com/team_info. ... 9-15204074

all 3 have played most games for the last 3 years. Seems like they should be pretty handy for Pongy.

From what I gather this ruckman used to work in a bank, is a pen pusher and is gunning for AD's job.

It's finally clicked to me who he is but it's against rules to out people's real identitiies.

I'm more interested in the link between AD and dukes and the banter they were having over a ruckman from mt lofty.

Don't see where it says on the kntfl that I was talking about ruckman from lofty? I have heard Matt down may be getting a teaching job in Naracoorte ? Or Jeremy Jaques is running the local church down there ?
