If they are struggling for points they may just have to play a junior or two. IMO, Healthy for the competition bringing a couple Magary Medalists into the comp and taking it up to the MB sides. The RMFL has always been proactive in attracting high profile players such as McLeod in an effort to build it into the strongest league in SA.

Pretty sure Clayton has been on Manning list and will be hardly any points

I think Clayton will still be 4 points because as far as I know you don't start deducting points until you play a game, and on last yrs player points list Clayton was listed as 4, so if what you are saying is correct he wouldn't have been 4 last yr, nice try by mannum though

Get back from the gym and solarium (20mins front and back) and log onto this! I haven't heard anything and some serious moves would have to be made to fit in a Jade Sheedy. Can't say that the thought of Hall, Clayton and Sheedy running around together puts me off my dinner either  But like The Duke. I am sceptical.

Did anyone else catch the new episode of 20 to 1 of the Highest Paid Australian Sportsman on channel 72 tonight. Craig 'Diddles' Harvey came in at number 9, just after Michael Clarke at number 10 and before Leyton Hewitt at 8.

Whilst I can understand the scepticism, I don't agree with it. To my knowledge, Mannum barely fielded an U17s last year which begs the question, where are all their juniors going? The recruitment of players such as Clayton and Sheedy (if true), could only be good for younger players at the club, and certainly could enhance their development. Further, I don't see the recruitment of older players like Hall, Clayton, Sheedy etc as a negative. These players are looking for somewhere to finish their careers for the next 3-4 years. How many younger recruits would stay that long? These types of players are not interested in club hopping like the majority of younger players and I would suggest by the looks of things, they all want to play together and have some success. What club wouldn't take them onboard?

In other news, Tyson Wait is expecting to hear whether or not his teaching application on the Yorke Peninsula is to be accepted, just before Christmas. Needless to say, acceptance means departure from Imps which will be a massive blow to the club.

we don't all have the depth that imps and ramblers have which is why we have to go and recruit, can you imagine how lopsided the league would be if all RMFL clubs could only play locals.

good question about the juniors, for next season we should have good u 17 numbers as many g up from under 15's however only two I believe are available for senior footy. Most juniors we are losing to relocation because of uni and jobs, we are working on ways to try and retain them but it is no easy job but hopefully with a bit more junior structure in place we will head in the right direction.

My understanding is that he is staying at imperials. If he is accepted with the teaching appointment, he doesn't have to take it. Will be surprised if he goes anywhere.
