That would be a massive coup for the playing group if they signed the services of Mark Floreani :)

Sounds like some real talent going to be floating around Div 4

Early predictions:

Hope Valley & CBC with their quality recruits along with Salisbury West as the 3 favourites

Golden Grove on the next line of betting but will wind in if they pick up some players returning from the Gaza exodus (The Gowans rumour I would be suprised if it comes off but if it does they are outright favourites)

The Lodge next in line along with Hectorville who should pick up medalist Wooton along with Plympton

Pulteney if the rumour is true that Perrie has left could struggle along with Pooraka if they have an exodus of their quality

Greenacres could be in for a long year especially if they lose the two brothers to Gaza and the loss of potentially a few more to the country, unfortunately no depth especially as their B Grade went 0-18 last year

But its a guess on the whispers around the traps and means jack until clearances start wondering through

Jon would be older than the ark .... Playing at Lofty last year was only second behind callington. Not the side they used to be

When are other clubs starting pre-season? Or has anyone started?

Do most clubs start before Xmas???

Absolute waste of time imo; probably detrimental.

If a club has had a shocker season or 2 and need to demonstrate their intentions early, maybe it has some merit very occasionally.

i would imagine several clubs would... Not detrimental imo if done correctly... The best pre season i ever had was when the side i trained with started in early november, late october... I certainly understand the argument why starting after xmas is better, i reckon it really depends on the group you have. I feel the group we have at the kennel it will be a big positive to start early.
