There were no cloak and daggers, anything "ruthless" or anything like that. In fact WW implored the club to support the new coaching regime.
Guys let's keep it in perspective. Firstly, thanx to all those who have posted me with well wishes in the last few weeks. In Sept 2010 when I was appointed A grade coach at MP for a 2 year deal, the one thing I promised was a return to Div 6 and a Premiership. I also gave the club an assurance that at the end I would have the right people in place to continue everything we would achieve. 'Ballsy' at the time and the committee did have a chuckle, but I knew what was in the wings and confident it could develop. Premierships do strange things to you and you think 'maybe', but I live in Yankalilla and getting home at 10 or 11 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays in pis.....n rain, and dodgen' Kangaroos in summer, plus Saturdays from TTG, Modbury, Gawler, Smithfield etc, etc after presos, not to mention club functions, reckon you get the gist. The decision for me was easy in the end because the final 2 candidates for the role were both a big part of the last 2 years and a massive part of our flag. 'Harro' was the lucky one and a close mate. He will be well accepted by all Div 6 coaches because he learn't from me.
