I think they may need an eye exam!
The Callington United Eagles FC and the Bridgewater Raiders FC are indeed working towards a amalgamation, with the full support of the HFL.
A proposal has been tabled and discussed by the 2 committee's, who have both approved it. It was put to the Callington members at todays AGM, and was past, and just awaits the approval of the Bridgewater members at their AGM in a few weeks, but from the general consensis, this looks to be a formality.
Both parties agree that the deal is in the best interest of the future of both clubs. More details to come once it is ratified and a joint working committee is established. However, the combined club will be looking at fielding all teams from modifieds through to seniors, including a C Grade squad. However, the competition is still to be decided pending any relegation decision. The current view is to move to / continue in Central Division.
Settle down MLWALKER. Just because you don't like negative comments about Callington doesn't mean they come from "regular trouble stirer's". Posters here have a right to say what they like as long as they keep it clean. What do you expect anyway and where were you when dozens of questions were asked by punters this year? Good luck to both clubs I say. And maybe learn from comments here rather than knock them.
