What about Coaches under Pressure as of now?
Fuller with now only 2 years left of a rare 5 year fulltime deal, would be expected to deliver a second finals run in 2013. So he's definately under pressure.
Moloney is interesting as he's probably not in the job because the club wants a Premiership right now, maybe more for harmony and is cost effective! So little pressure for next year anyway.
Port..... enough said.
Massie must show that the teams he put on the park are developing in visiable ways and it's not just theory and saying the right things ala The Neil Craig Show Got to be under pressure for 2013 after weak finish (again) to the season.
Godden..... the little General will relish the challenge presented and it's going to be fun watching him get responses to a poor season. Look out, he's angry

With Mead back and in charge, does this say that winning will be priority N0.1 again for the Magpies or is it the obvious appointment that was always going to happen.
I thought that Luke Norman would have been an excellent choice for a year, then take it from there. Could well have got the Maggies off and running straight away just like their hoping Hinkley will do with the Flowers!

As the Magpies begin their pre-season tomorrow night with the fitness staff to take proceedings, the players were told that the league coach is down to four cadidates but they were not named. You would think Darren Mead is red hot favourite to get the job.

Yes he did coach for the one season. There could be another non Port Adelaide coach next season if Meady or Tylor doesn't get the job.

I don't know much about his time at Port, but I know Scott Hodges was a big wrap for him.

Anyone else heard the story that Bassett has spat the chewy at Norwood about being underpaid and threatened to walk? Seems unlikely that they couldn't resolve it before he leaves. Has he actually signed for next year yet?

What i understand with Bassett that while he was weighing up his options for a couple of weeks after the grand final,the legs footy department were moving ahead with and doing their homework on recruiting next season without consulting with him,which he wasnt happy about the situation,the board got involved and told Nathan that that the footy department didnt have to wait for him to decide what sort of players to recruit.
