Apparently their new coach has been treading on many toes and is playing favourites down at the club.
I heard a whisper that their best and fairest from last year (Hill) will be suiting up in the B grade tonight as Hooker does not think he is in the best 21 players. From what I saw at Trinity last year he was their only hard player in the middle capable of clearing the ball and am unsure who they may have recruited to cover his experience in the centre.

Yeah, I know a few boys from Elizabeth who said he was a good bloke, and that he would do well at Trinity. It will be intersting to see how they go tonight

From what I have heard, Hill played his first game against Paralowie (A Grade) a couple of weeks ago and kicked a goal or two playing of the half back flank despite spending most of the match on the pine. He asked to play in the B's last week so he could get a full game. He supposedly had 45 touches and was BOG. And this week he is still not considered in their best 21 players at the club.
The rumour is that another one or two of their midfield players from last year have also been spending time on the bench or in other positions and that a couple of their a grade midfielders from this year are part of the selection committee and worried about their spots.

How can players be part of the selection committee besides being captain?

I thought the same Pag. This info comes from a person who was influentional in founding the club last year, so I would say it was fairly reliable.
