He's just so selfless, wanting nothing but the betterment of his club (and $150K and more money invested in transfer fees that the US spend on their military).

Well done Collo ... well done

Will make it harder for him to run with the bleeding heart angle of the poverty line again next year after it served him so well this season

LMAO .. So you didn't see it, but I read too much into it?

What I read into it was that it was a desperate attempt to try and find some, any sort of psychological advantage, which failed dismally

I thought the he was trying to tell the SANFL that $30 was too much to pay to go see the grand final in this current climate and that he thought it was better to charge less and get more people in, not just West supporters but all supporters. He was saying growing up he was from a struggling family and therefore knew the value of money. I think Bassett ended up agreeing with him in a later interview.

Maybe he was just saying charge us low earning struggling West Adelaide supporters should be charged a gold coin donation because thats all we can afford but those high earning Norwood supporters can pay more to get in because they can afford it ;)

It wasnt the "desperate attempt to try and find some, any sort of psychological advantage, which failed dismally" it was tha Norwood were by far the better team

Nah ment Doug would have had to reduce his influence on the club and at that stage there was no way that was happening.

I am not willing to say but I do know what happened. All will be out in the open when the person in question moves on to the Big ground in the sky.
