Finished Killing Floor by Lee Child, now on to Die Trying.

I've read about ten of these and you don't need to read it in order. One of the best ones is Worth Dying For. Those particular villians needed sorting out and naturally Reacher doesn't let the side down.

Had Jaws sitting on my shelf for years.

Right next to a couple of M*A*S*H books.

Never got around to reading them.

All went in the great moving purge...

You should have read Jaws. That is a pretty good book.

Just downloaded QF32 onto the Kindle and am about to get into it. I picked up the book in a book shop and read a few random pages and was immediately drawn to it. It's the true story of the QANTAS A380 that blew an engine and was lucky to make a safe landing due to the skills of captain Richard de Crespigny, who is the author of the book.

This stuff really interests me. Ive also read a lot about Waco and Ruby Ridge, where American citizens are paronoid to the point of actually engaging in conflicts with their own government.

By coincidence I am currently reading this too. Supposedly true story but I have my doubts. Style of writing grates a bit too, "Richard returned home after dumping the bodies, had a turkey on rye sandwich and went to bed" (paraphrasing) These things happened 40 years ago and he can remember what type of sandwich he ate!?.

He had an eye for detail, not a stretch to believe he has a memory for it as well, I thought.

His evolution and then undoing were a fascinating story, amazing how much access was granted to filmmakers and writers.

Yeah fair enough smac. I suppose the author may pad things to give us a clue as to Richard's personality (disorders) and his disregard for human life including his family. "If I inadvertently kill your Mother I can't have any witnesses, so you understand I have to kill you too?" This to his children.
