You need that fishing smilie i been on about.

if coles was to play next year would be a huge boost to the forward line and in regards to someone else who said pooraka wants to forget last year im not sure why they would yeah we finished bottom but the trainning effort in the second half and all the running we done to try and win nearly did pay of considering these are the times when you see just how strong a club is by how it bounces back and we plan on using this season as a stepping stone to improve 1000 percent

Having Coles return helps with a bit of height in the forward line and a target to kick too, something they missed last year. However with the recent addition of about 10kg's and the fact the big fella is 33 or 34, I wouldn't see this as a long term thing. Plus I don't think his work will allow him to play every game. I believe he played about 10 minutes of a b grade game last year and pinged a hammy! Don't get me wrong, I love the big man and he is still one of the best amatuer league players I have seen and played with.

Footy follower there may be some late mail as to the long term future forward you are talking about, wednesday they will have a tall key forward signed.... Lovell back and cole and a few new blokes, suddenly they become dangerous again

Shit FF you must of not played with many good players. Coles certainly a talent but i think very much wasted alot of it. Played with the man when he was younger and yes could of been really good but never pulled his finger out in my opinion. Good guy though.

GW mate pull your head in, time for working hard out there and keeping the mouth shut.

Unfortunately we all read really slowly....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Probably not the most consistant of players, but I played with him a day he kicked 8 against Portland one year, had three blokes on him at the end and was still clunking them. Also his ability to sit on guys heads week in week out was a marvel to watch even if he didn't always mark them. I have seen and played with some great players, but on his day Coles is way up there. But like I said in my first post, this was 5+ years ago. Can't see him sitting on anything other than a chair these days!

FF, your certainly right had some freakish ability, i do like how you put it. I wouldnt rate him in the top 10 players at Pooraka in the most recent GF year, but for sheer talent and could turn it on he would be right up there. Took a good player to stand him also.

you dont even know who played in the G.F how can you ask for a list and then circle random players or people you think could be better..... yes coles may be 33-34 years old his jump may be on the way out but the hardness and skill will still beat 90 percent of players in div 4..and yes i do rate coles very high still cause i know as a team unit in the forward line what he brings so much to offer

Hosking
Adams
Lovell
Rankine
Naylor
Russell
Pead

That's 8 off the top of my head, I'm sure there were a couple of others. Pooraka had a really good spread that year.
