I wouldn't mind actually seeing what would happen if we tried to score rather than defend. So perhaps Collins should go...

Where's that Dutchy?

The club is located on Milner Road.

I personally think he will go anyway. But if he were wanting to stay i would be happy to move him on. He has served the club well in picking us up from where we were, however whilst our list is as good as it is we need a change IMO. We need 2 more quality on ballers and a genuine small forward, or maybe a structure that allows Fort Caruso to play this role, and i think that side would then be capable of going one step further.

I know this post is for Westies supporters only, but I just wanted to say commiserations to everyone who follow Westies, Norwood went through the same in 2010 and didn't make the GF in 2011 so I know the pain.

Remember this pain as it is a core for all your plans into the very near future.

Now is the time to regroup everyone in the club and get totally focused on 2013 from the ground up, and what is your goal and what each and everyone of you need to do to achieve that goal,
"THEN DO IT" without fail, no excuse is acceptable.

That's what it takes to "WIN THE BLOODY THING".

Yeah strange one that !

Why would it be a strange one Southie?, Collins is or was coaching them.

At least they made it this year, if Collins is coaching Westies next year, we wont have much to beat.

Roll on 2013

I hope one of them was Stephen Rechner? He is an angry tool at the best of times and very deserving of having to sit through his club serving up that crap performance!

Nothing wrong with Rechers. Stooping pretty low if you have to have a crack at a bloke as nice as him.

Were you at Richmond Oval re the North Vs. West night game when he carried on like a tool and wanted to fight the North supporters in his offical capacity as VP of the WAFC Past Players? No would be your answer!

For me what said it all was the body language of the Westies players about half way through the 3/4 and the seemingly lack of urgency or even interest by the coach on the sidelines. Must have been bloody good music in those headphones.
West Adelaide have no future with this coach and there should be a hand shake and a mutual parting of the ways.
Time to roll out Niel Kerley again ?

Whether the public likes the style or not, Collins has done a great job of transforming a perennial cellar dwellar (at the time) into the 2nd best team in the comp .. If the deal and stage of his life/career fits, Westies would be mad not to continue with him.

I think Wesies did well DESPITE Collins due to their reasonable list. When Eagles get recruiting and moving again, when Centrals get a full squad on the park I doubt Westies would be in the hunt next year with that failed game plan.

Our list got us to GF not Collins coaching. We are about to lose some good players and Collins has made recruiting very difficult by leaving club in limbo for so long. We could have done with Ainger or Kirk at Richmond but hard to seriously recruit without a coach.

Wish he left a month ago, but think he will stay.

That's your problem from what is being said, no decent players in the SANFL are going to go anywhere near West with Collo and that game plan!
Their leaving mate; that playing group isn't happy and the Board tip toeing around means this year was a one off chance at a Flag!
It's not by chance that Ainger was headed either to North or Eagles and why your list is in danger of being picked off.

I believe Collins is again hurting West Adelaide by not announcing what his intentions are. Either go or stay but make a decision so that the club has a chance to pick up someone decent and not a last minute, rushed decision.
Agree with the comments about player loses and difficulty in finding new recruits.
Who is Westies seconds coach ?
Why would Mickan not be a good replacement ?

Who was responsible for putting the playing list together. Do Westies have a full time recruiting staff as well as coach.

There are very few clubs at any level that haven't secured their coach for 2013, its nearly November, surely this is getting critical for Westies?

I really like bomber and hope he hasn't moved on but if he has moved to the Eagles it will be his third club. At either West or Sturt failed to grab his chances. IMO a good reserves player who doesnt step up to league level.
