Michael Doughty who just retired from AFL footy, playing with the fruit tingles, is the big, big inclusion for next year in the midfield. Big pick up for the mighty Districts side. Makes for a great midfield with Doughty, Sampson, McDowell, Smitham, Higgs and Gates getting hand fed by one of the best big men in amateur football, in Reid Beeching. Instead of every club trying to tag Sampson, then Doughty will be the man. Hard for anyone to match up on any player with an engine that big in D2 or D1. Port District and Kilburn, along with Gepps X and SHOC, with so many returning players, are the big four teams, all with so many very good players.

District and Kilburn appear to be the really classy teams though.

Apparently Reynella have signed him up as well. I guess it deflects all the talk about the Gowans twins going to about 18 different clubs. He would be a great in with any club he went to

Hasn't signed anywhere. After speaking with him I'm almost certain he will be back home at Reynella. He has many mates possibly returning and he is a zero point player. Smitheram and dogga are very close mates so I could see how you could put a connection between the club and him.

Asking questions!
I don't think any of the older blokes are worried about gg taking the role over, he is 1 of the boys and gets along with old and young. Besides, we only have 3 over thirty playing in the 1's. and those 3 are pretty solid performers
