PV tapped up 328 from their 65 overs. Hodson a ton and the Hulk 80 in a 200-run stand for the 2nd wicket. Hoddo would've scored his 2nd 50 from approx 35 balls. Herbert from the Roys took 6/60. Bloodybouncer tore a hammy trying to run back with the flight of a skied ball just after tea.

Roys won the toss and strangely sent us in, knowing that McLeod & Frick would be available to bowl the 2nd week, replacing 2 batsmen (well, 1.5 to be honest..  )...

Captain may not have realised the batting/bowling changes. 330 is a huge score on that long grassed oval....was it mowed or did you guys just hit over the top?

How are you traveling yourself Goat? Racking up the runs mate?

Didn't see the paper yesterday, Dutchy rack up some poles sat?

Speaking of funny decisions to bat or bowl, i recall a game against Vista last season at Vista where Cossens sent Rose Park in when MacDonald couldn’t bat the 2nd week. The Cougar made runs the 1st week and Hendo and Shark did the rest the 2nd making the Cossens decision baffling.

Isn't it written on the team sheet handed to the captain before the toss?

For grass that isn't cut too short, it still runs fairly well and gets quicker as the day goes on. You know how Hoddo bats mate, there were a few hit along the ground... :D

Yes mo', had a scorching dose of the Brad Pitts last Friday in fact! ;)

Let's just say that after 9yrs away from the game, it's a bloody long way back. Certainly not setting the world on fire by any stretch, but working hard on my game. Just a matter of time before the worm turns. 8)

it was fairly fast for our oval Auto, but that being said we had to run for at least half of those runs.

It will be handy to have JMac and Fricky for bowling duties next week. I'm just assuming the Roys captain had in mind what they wanted to do before the toss or didn't think too much about the players being swapped over.

Is this the same bloke who had some complications with Ian Henderson's bowling last season? Shouldn't be a problem for him this year with 'Hendo' nearing his 50th Birthday.

You my friend are a idiot. I think you will find the old fart has finally given cricket up after his ankle pulled up sore from the Fitzroy game. Give up your love affair with him.

Hopefully we get the 33 runs we need before that happens! ;)

I believe games that havent already been resulted on first innings would get the points earned from runs wickets etc and both teams would share the match points.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........
