Be lucky to bat out the day n make 200... my opinion. Going to be a very tall ask for you boys to stay in div 1. I would actually like it if u did because i enjoy playing against u, usually a good group of lads but i cant quite see it happening.

The ground was lightning quick yesterday, good value for shots so anything less than 300 would've been a disappointed. There is a glimmer of hope there for Craigmore if they can bat 70 overs.

Interesting to see the scores this round though as the top 2 from last years Grade 1 play the top 2 from Grade 2, appears to show the gap that exists between Grade 1 & Grade 2

I think there is a fairly large gap between SW and R&C to the rest of Grade 1 as well except maybe AV on their day.

Looking forward to proving u wrong

Good to see young T-Roy finally get out of the forties on the weekend and crack a half century. Was starting to worry he couldnt count that high :D

Talking with a couple of the Craigmore lads yesterday it would seem they have set themselves some realistic goals for the season, they have definately got some good young talent sitting in that team. Pick of the lot though is that Jamie fella with the long hair, came out with some absolute gems yesterday - some of the funniest one liners I have heard on a cricket field.

And geez Norm, way to heap the pressure onto your team. Its a long season mate

I think you will find OTH will be a massive chance this year. Jaz up the top of the order I will almost back for most runs in the comp, along with T Scott looking to have a massive year, Smitty and McNair as well, Neil if he decides to play every week. They are my tip to sneak under the radar all year and make the GF.

Any flag odds or grand final quniella odds LM?? ;)

I can assure you nobody at R&C are underestimating OTH, especially with McNair and Neil back in the mix it makes for a strong batting line up when you add Scott, Smith & Hanisch.

Similar line up to a few years ago when they finished 2nd in arguably a stronger grade 1 comp that year - oh how quickly people can forget..

Will be watching their results very closely indeed!

not to open too big of a can of worms here... but does anyone else think woodward has a slightly suspect action... some deliveries he bowls look slightly more suspect than others. has anyone else noticed this?

Yep. And I dont care what the testing says..... He's the modern version of Salisbury West legend, John Conole.

Edit - Young punk has some ability though...Just needs some patience with the stick.

He bowls like that because when playing in under 11 he had a full arm cast on and continued to bowl. I was a tough captain that ran a pretty tight ship as a 9-10 year old.
