Trevor Thorpe's in (senior) career best form, DW.
I haven't seen him play this well since under 18s.
If there was an betting outlet Riverland footy, I'd be on him for the medal at this stage....although he and Ex will take some votes of each other.

At this point, I can't give you runner-up or vote figures, but I can give you winners for the missing years.

Supaveteran or Barry Dawson (with a bit of research) could probably give you the extra info you require.

1997 - S. Gray (Wunkar)
1998 - S. Schulz (Wunkar)
1999 - L. Braun (Brown's Well)
2001 - S. Sumner (United)

2005 - Deganhardt drew with Russell Charles (Brown's Well). (for those of you who are observant - whoops!)

SF - what's this for?

Nothing official. I have the mail medal book by John gascoyne which is up to 1996. I was reading it the other day, especially on the Riverland area and thought it would be interesting to update. Out of interest who won the 1997 Riverland medal and from which club. Cheers.

Nathan Tape of Waikerie was the winner of the 1997 medal.

Also, you don't have the votes on last year's runner's-up, they had 13 votes.

I'll let Supa tell you all about Shane - only he can do the big fella justice.
Good thing about Shane is that he's a Collingwood supporter!

the wonder elephant wrote: i see the name sean grey saying he won a mail medal in 97 is this the guy known as the gonz ?? came to ironbank around that time and boy he could turn it on when all the planets were aligned cracking left foot with an eye 4 the goals is this the same guy ??

Sean is Gonz. By all accounts he could play. By the time I came on the scene though, he either wasn't playing, or as you put it, the planets weren't aligned. Again I defer to Super.....

Andy Sharrad played for Brown's Well (didn't win a medal). Also was gone by the time I arrived here. Although, I did a very silly thing and spewed up in his bath tub in my first year here. Popular, not.

I think Andy is a bit of a photography nut. Has a particular love of motor racing if I'm correct.

Has a brother Bill 'Bunty', courageous player, nice bloke.

They are, Clonan hasn't played yet has he?

Why's Ex out? With him out, the other notable exception is another full forward in Matthew Oliver.

Should be a strong outfit regardless.

Oliver won't play if he's travelling all the way from Ardrossan and not getting paid.
I wouldn't either!!

You're right, Clonan hasn't played and Ex is getting his knee cleaned out next week.
Hopefully won't miss a game though...

And I would never knock little Nookie....it's the Moorook runner-up who is a dud!!!
