I dont get down to the club that often anymore, but I would guess (as read on another post within this forum) that a former Bomber coach was interested in coming back.

So who is the former Brighton coach?
Will be very interesting to see if the players he brought leave. I don't think they will but Riggers is a close mate of Sam so it is very possible.
It does sound disappointing for Sam but he does have a young family so it may have influenced his decision.

I've know Sam for a long time & deep down i know he was happy coaching the Brighton Boys, he loves those blokes & winning a premiership brings alot of respect for each other & i know he'd love to continue coaching Brighton to more success.

I think you'll find that the majority of the playing group bonded well with Sam and will be disappointed with how things have panned out.. He's done a fantastic job over the past 2 yrs and deserves respect for what he's done for the club and the players In which he lead to their first A grade flag for 10 yrs or so ??
A new chapter will open for Sam now and success seems to follow him good luck.

Very sad another young lad with a bright future has his life ended for no good reason. I truly hope the message of the Sammy D Foundation gets through to people. Too much senseless violence.

What is the cost for a club to play in the SFL per team? Here a lot of talk about it being cheaper than the SAAFL so can some one tell me what the cost structure is???

I heard that was a reason why Edwardstown left the SAAFL and something along the lines that the SFL league fees were half that of Div 2 in the SAAFL.

Not to mention they can collect the gate fees at least 9 times a year. Yes EFC moved because of the financial improvements to the footy club. Unfortunately it hasn't been a huge success on the field.

Heard a rumour that a former B grade Blackwood coach with red hair may be doing the same job at Edwardstown. If this is true its a great appointment. Good bloke with solid structures and understanding of what coaching resi football is all about AND hes wanted this job for a while. Hope its true

I hope he snags it. He'd be a good choice, presented very well in an interview at Townies last season, we'd have really liked him to take our resi's job last year.
