For the record - I reckon the Riverland Independent competition is the best in the state, followed by Hills Div 2 and Div 7 in the amateurs.

Thirdly, I play in the Riverland Independent competition, and was not having a crack at any of the competitions suggested, merely taking the pi*s out of the thread, which as I'd stated in my post "had been done to death".
See if you can reply more civilly this time.

Don't put Div 2 and Independent in the same category then. I've seen both Kersbrook and Cobdogla this year, and Kersbrook would win by 40 goals!

Morphett Vale lost by about 4 goals not points! plus i dont think saints had there full team playing, few juniors they trialled in that game i heard. So Morphett Vale would not be a top 5 div 1 side in Amatuers let alone a competitve div 1 team!

That is a bold statement, there is some pretty handy teams out Pt lincoln way, Pt Pirie and even down the South East.
You have to look at the scope of Teams in the State, Lucindale with N.Fiegert running around kicking bags would be pretty handy i'd reckon. Lots of teams out there.

KANGARILLA.......HA HA HA!!!! They got flogged by all top four SFL sides (20 goals plus) and were lucky too make the finals only a couple of yeras ago. then after the leaving the next year. won the GF in the hills by a record margin. They were average at best and would have needed to pick up at least 8 top teir players to be anywhere near it in the SFL in 2003-2004. Yes theyve got a couple of high quality players running around that could play but the side as a whole...... Well Im just repeating myself now...... Average.

They did pick up recruits! Their last year in Southern they were getting flogged every second week and decided to change things around. Their 'A' grade Full Back from that last year in Southern, was playing in a Back Pocket in their B' grade the following season in Hills! They apparently changed the playing list by well over 50%. I have no doubt their current side would make the 8 in SFL, but agree they wouldn't challenge the top quartet.

Southern should split it's comp up, regardless of how small it would make each Div. Would make the competition stronger and more even. Too many floggings in your comp, especially when the weaker teams numbers drop off.
