Tigers win 6-4
Some changes needed for tomorrow, how much longer will Girardi put up Swishers pathetic efforts in the postseason

This is almost series over.
With Verlander to start 2 games if we drop this its all over.
Girardi has to take a fair bit of the blame, Kuroda was done after 6 and everyone could see he was going to get belted.

You could just buy Detroit and close them down Jim?

If you guys drop out of this post season you will no doubt join my Boston boys in the cashed up queue chasing every free agent between Tokyo and Cuba. Other clubs won't stand a chance once those two power clubs open their wallets!

Boston might but Ive read the Yankees will be trying to lighten the spending.
Apparantly they want to get their roster to under $200m next year and will offload some of the big money players like Swisher who will be a free agent. Still got A-Rod's big contract and on current form he shouldnt be playing

Didn't see either game, but heard Detroit got lucky with a dodgy call.

Can see Giants/Cards going to the wire.

We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Call was a shocker but didnt cost us, Detroit were already up 1-0 and we wouldnt have scored if we were still playing now. Our Pitching has done well to keep us in games, our useless batters cant buy a run.
Id expect us to be swept now, if we couldnt hit Sanchez then there is no hope against Verlander.
Was mentioned on ESPN that Verlander has had a decent break and could start Game 3 and 4

bad decisions like that have been going on since baseball began. But Now that one has impacted on New York watch the feathers fly and I would expect the commisioner to bow to pressure and allow tv replays as we have in most other team sports.

Just seen it-absolute howler.
The look on Infante's face when he was called safe says it all really.

The refs have been after reviews for years, Baseball needs to get up with times.
Way too much pressure on the refs, they could have got that decision correct in about 10 seconds.
Didnt cost us the game but a decision like that will one day

the other thing they need to do to speed up the game is ditch the ridiculous pantomime that occurs when a pitching change is on. Why the manager has to stroll out and relieve the pitcher of the ball then supervise the bloke from the bullpen to the mound is beyond me. Everyone knows what is going down FFS so why not just wave from the dugout and get the changeover done in a matter of seconds?

All Giants in game 2 so far.

Unfortunately for St Louis,Carpenter hasn't really hit his straps after his long lay-off.

Never write off the Cards though.
