Norwood do a great job of developing their own players. The only problem is that the AFL takes them faster than we can produce them. Norwood have about 6 or 7 players drafted every year. Do Claremont produce the same amount? You would think Norwood would start strong favourites in a game against Claremont. Even if you take away our recruits I think Norwood would still win. Remember Norwood would have won the reservs flag as well if Centrals didn't rort the system by having about 5 A graders dropped down.

The Dogs did not 'rort' the system mate, all the players that played have qualified and were entitled to play. It was good timing, yes, with some of them coming back from injury to qualify for finals and play, but let me point something out to you:

Centrals Reserves Premiership side had 13 players that had played League footy...

Norwood's Reserves Runners Up side had 13 players that had played League footy...

The Dogs were the better team on the day, just, and thoroughly deserved their Premiership...

18 minutes, not bad. :D

Have it your way but everyone sitting around me said what a joke it was seeing Sutherland running around in the reserves. They were all saying that Nrowood had no chance whatsoever. And Norwood may have had 13 players with league experience but only because of injuries meant we had to bring up kids. I don't recall any seasoned veterans of Norwood's A team playing in the reserves on the day.

Stop using facts Phil to dispel rubbish. ;) Which players is he referring to, I must have missed who was dropped down? I reckon each player in that reserves team, would have played more reserves games than league this year (at a guess, not stating as fact). Additionally, Templeton couldn't play and Waldhunter who was promoted for the last league game also couldn't play.

Glenelg were stacking their reserves side a couple of years ago when he played in a flag there, too.

Makes perfect sense for the Dogs

to give up on participating on a 13th straight LEAGUE grand final
and end the greatest run in SANFL history

so they could have a crack at the Reserves flag.

Yeah, he's at about the same level as Brady Dawe and Angus Clarke - a League Premiership ruckman ;)

how many games did Pumpa play this season in the league side? Thou art an uneducated buffoon. Didn't Norwood finish top? Yep, Pumpa beat your whole side.

move on folks, nothing to see here.

EVERY club has played eligible players in finals for reserves, 19s, 17s (now 18s) for years ... there is nothing wrong , immoral or illegal about it.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Seriously, I for one would love to see this happen, either here or in Perth. On what assumption would Claremont win after watching the SANFL grand final, if our clubs here can't beat the press how on earth would a WAFL club get through it ? We should beat them comfortably given the gap in class, think about it people!
