yeh i disagree with you there lethal. but obviously like u said everyone is entitled to there own opinion. One Tree Hill have had a couple of below par seasons themselves. I dont think Smithfield really saw the best of OTH. we also have had commitment problems at the club for a number of reasons, work (which was one of my problems last season, barely trained n often had to leave games early), we seem to have plenty of weddings throughout the season which leaves us short, or just players not as passionate about playing like they once were. I dont think Smithfield were a better side, i dont think the table lies really.
luckily for us we stayed up, and we have got a great group of players together this season, everyone is behind the club, 100% committed and pushing for success!!! and it has showed with 3 good wins in the As, Bs, and Ds and a narrow loss for our Cs. The club has a buzz about it that ive rarely seen in the 5 years ive been there and im hoping it continues because it should be a great season
I'm of the same belief as Lethal:
Raed was always running late and missed nearly as many weeks as he played.
Morris was always running late because of shift work and couldn't train.
Goulding missed a fair whack of weeks.
Bateson could be a very handy cricketer but his attitude sucked, he refused to train and we needed better net bowlers.
Taylor lost his enthusiasm and tried pulling out many Saturday mornings and trained about 2 times for the year.
Newman started looking good and then had to stop playing, he may of lost his pace but he can bowl at nagging lengths.
S.Rundle tore his bi-cep in round 3 or 4 and was going well til then, didn't play again.
Zac Lowe was going well in the B's and was ultra-keen to play A's but kept getting over-looked, same as Zac Wellington.
Adam Moss was captain of the B's and didn't want to play A's, he has one of the better eye's at Smithfield and SHOULD'VE notched up 50 A grade games by now but lacks the enthusiasm.
Ryan Gates has an excellent technique, one of the best fielder's I've ever seen but has lacked enthusiasm and dedication in the past.
Nick Tuckwell didn't lack enthusiasm but he lacked the patience needed, he has a full array of shots and he could get away with it in Grade 3 but needed to build an innings in Grade 1, he'll be better for the run.
Not once last season did we have all players at our disposal on the same week and once one or two think it's fine to get there at 10 to 1, it become's cancerous, having 4 different captains for the year didn't help either, we had 3 quality batsmen and more very handy ones, we underachieved and paid the price for not having the dedication required.
