Adelaide Footy League Talk

look TS I agree that players do get paid in the SAAFL especially at the Div 1 level but to say that Goody Saints pay $55K you gotta be dreaming.

If you reckon that is right than what would Salisbury North, Gepps Cross and TTG being paying a season?

Chris Clonan at Gepps Gun! Only now getting the recognition he deserves often gets disregarded cos of his size should be a shoe in for the team of the year this year.

The reason I raised the issue of what Adrian Burton is getting paid was to destroy the myth about Goodie Saints not paying big bucks. I think they have done a terrific snow ball on the rest of the competition but now that it is becoming common knowledge how much they are in fact paying to some of their higher profile players their should be some residual effect with those who are playing for very little. Whilst noone can deny that Salisbury North is paying out good money , it is being paid out across the entire team rather than the very uneven situation that occurs at Goodies. Maybe some of their lesser lights will realise the disparity in their payments and begin to seek fairer playing fields rather than beleive the crap that noone gets big money.

Sal Nth spend between 90k and 100k. TTG adding Wicks, Pascoe, Pitt and others will be up around the 70k.
Gepps probly 45 - 60k. Boadview/Gaza same as Goodies.
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

Sorry mister expert with 2 posts. Just because you are from Broadview dont get so defensive. You and I both know what you guys pay, so dont carry on like a tool. I suppose jonesy only got a pie and a coke also after the game.

Turkey Slapper Tired tiger hasnt been involved at broadview for a long time but still has a lot of contacts he has also been involved at gepps x while they were in A1 and has been involved in amatuer league for over 30years so has a fair idea what he is talking about as for jonesy mate I can tell you he played for a lot less than some of these other so called guns at other clubs.

Turkey, I can't speak for other Club's, but if you are as far off the mark with them as you are with TTG, you're way off. It's probably about time time ask a question, which Club is common to the junior footballing of S Pitt, A Pascoe, D Wicks, and J Wasley?

Is it that uncommon in Div 1 that players aren't just looking for the almighty dollar?

Good luck to them, overrated player. Fast, and fit but burns the ball constantly. Reason why he never quite made it. don't get me wrong he can find the ball and he will have an impact on the game, but you might find teams letting him get the ball on purpose if you know what i mean.

Anyone see any games on weekend, Saw Broadview and Rocs. Lister kicked 5, 2 free kicks and 2 out the back of the pack. Not hugely impressive. Broadview look like they are in a lot of trouble though, Let Rocs right back into the game after keeping them scoreless in the first 1/4. If anyone else was there can they tell me who CHB for Tigers was, took about 20 Marks and can kick a ball too.

Hey he can play, great hands. but if you kick 5 goals and dominate a game, well played. If you get protected riduculously by umpires and recieve easy cheap goals, and slut out back of packs for easy kicks, i would say he didn't play very well.

Went to the Gepps v Townies game, Gepps dominated the game without putting it on the scoreboard until the last quarter when they suddenly clicked and ran in something like 9 or 10 goals to 1 i think....Golding dominated but was lacking some fitness.

He'd be very dangerous if fully fit.
