Oh please.
Comparing Port and Glenelg finals records is like putting Jennifer Hawkins next to Amanda Vanstone and asking you which one you want to take home.

Tony Bamford won't be coaching Port Adelaide next year, but will be continuing in his talent manager role that he has had since 2005.

rats are always the first to leave a sinking ship they say.

You're right UK. There's two Gowans heading for the lifeboats right now.

I bet you $100 We win another flag before your team does. ;)

I think central will win many more before Port wins another one

As much as it pains me to say it, off field Glenelg have pulled themselves up and definately have something to be proud of unlike whichever Port you want!
I'd hate to think how well they might be going if Godden had said yes to them last year and left the Eagles.
Plus Mickan had them really going hard at it for quite a stretch a few years back.
At least the Bays haven't lost sight of the real prize ( SANFL Flag ), the Magpies have lost the hunger to dominate as they did last century :o

OK, someone has to say it. In the 21St century, the REAL prize in football is an AFL Flag.

And anyone trying to convince that any club would prefer an SANFL Flag over that is seriously kidding themselves.

We can't compare recent finals records between Port and Glenelg - or any other team - because Port doesn't have one. If Glenelg is taking Amanda Vandtone home, then Port is simply making do with Mrs. Palmer

If you want to discuss ancient history, then Glenelg's finals record (barring recent aberrations) is as good as any. It's only the Grand ones they've had trouble with. So they get to take Hawko home after all, but she doesn't invite them in for coffee...

I have been lucky enough to be at the MCG for 3 Geelong Premierships (you might remember a close game in 2007?)in the last 6 years, and whilst they were excellent, NOT EVEN CLOSE TO HOW I FELT LAST SUNDAY!!!!!!!!

For me the real prize always was and always will be The SANFL Leauge Premiership!
