I have also heard that rumor from a few people. Its great for the comp but not so great for the Lobey batsmen

Nairne have listed their side on MyCricket and batting number 11 is one Shaun Tait

Lucky for Lobey that Nairne don't also have Techno pounding in with 'plenty of pace off a longer run'

So any news on games this week? Or will the first game get pushed back a week possibly?

SCIB v Lofty and Aldgate v Onkas to go ahead this week as planned. Fixture will be redrawn and Meadows v Uraidla likely to play a catch up game at some point later in the year. Bridgy simply to replace the bye in B Grade but have forfeited the first match against Stirling due to the late notice

Bit of a shame really, six sides in the As. Can't remember that ever happening, not in the last 25 years at least. I suppose on the upside this will finally give Lofty the chance to qualify for the first round of Courier Cup games.

tarque def in for scibs. have heard from many sources around the place that various clubs received phone calls from tarque simply asking,

"so how much cash do you reckon you can me to come coach"

sounds about right and scibs have put out the best dollar. apparently dont need it now though with techno back bowling "wheels" and also assuming his role as a struggling opening batsmen

Any A&EH scores? Woodside 217 cleaned up Ashboune easily. Nairne 170 odd should beat Lobethal. Anyone know what happened at strath and hahndorf?

Hey Frothin, knowing Tarque well i don't think he would have approached clubs asking for money. More like they approached him chucking money at him for his services, bit harsh saying that get your facts right before opening your mouth, plus he has never coached for much money anyway. Good to see two of the stronger sides in the A&EH have a cracker of a game on the weekend Lobethal & Nairne well done lads great game to watch having a few beers 8)

I called into this game for a while as well. Quite a good crowd in attendance for a minor round game! Reasonable standard for the 1st hit out for the year as well. S. Tait bowled well within himself from what I could tell, and bowled a full length, nothing to be gained "bouncing" blokes at this level. Also had a look at Woodside, saw the start of the Ashbourne run chase. They were going ok after about 8 over probably 0/30 odd, left handed opening bat looked ok. Came back about 90 minutes later and it was all over & the boys where on their 3rd beers! Ashbourne all out for 60 odd after being 1/50!!

Still no results from Strath Vs Wistow..... anyone know what happened, did they get a start?

Hahndorf cleaned up a very undermaned Creek by the looks.

A&EH Round 2

Sat 13 Oct, 20 Oct(1:00 PM) Nairne v Hahndorf Nairne Oval
Sat 13 Oct, 20 Oct(1:00 PM) Langhorne Creek v Strathalbyn Langhorne Creek Oval
Sat 13 Oct, 20 Oct(1:00 PM) Wistow v Ashbourne Wistow Oval
Sat 13 Oct, 20 Oct(1:00 PM) Lobethal v Woodside Lobethal Oval

Tips for Round 2

Nairne - possible outright?
Strath - unless the creeks have a significant amount of "ins"
Wistow - better this year with Willis back, add Judd?
Woodside - will be too good for Lobethal - but Lobey will be better later in the season when they get a few players back
Any other thoughts - Jackpot Jim, Yoda!

Pinarello, my tips would be as follows

Nairne over Hahndorf i agree just by how much nothing against the Hahndorf lads
Langhorne Creek over Strath have a feeling the Creeks boys will have a few ins
Wistow Ashbourne hmmmm close one i think, given that the Ashbourne new boys might have settled a bit better after the first hit out (Wistow just on turf Ashbourne)
Lobethal Woodside again close game, would like to pick Woodside but the Lobethal men seem to lift against Woodside so Lobethal it is for me will be a great battle

Any other thoughts lads????
