Cheers Brodlach.
Didn't see that, hadn't heard anything about it during the week, so found it strange he wasn't playing.

Thank you Brodlach for letting us know who we were missing it could have been a different game with them in. Might have been the reason for Andy's game plan. Who knows

fair enough....I guess the standard of the game was a great advert for our wonderful game, what a win for footy! Luckily it wasn't televised internationally.

Congratulations to Norwood - the best team all year and never looked like losing the GF.

As to the doggies - I'm still scratching my head wondering how we could finish 2nd after the minor round and go out in straight sets.
We used to be good :-(

No..... Westies were a disgrace but Norwood had no opposition today so you cant say they were exceptional.
Didn't have to try very hard did they?

So are you trying to say that Westies had no opposition last time they played Centrals? Your logic is a little strange it seems!

Still was injured alot of the year, play one game in the reserves and get a different injury. He would have been in the best 22 especially with Webb out.

Laird was out injured.

Rory wasn't out injured, he was dropped...

Did the Reserves call with Tait Kaesler, who is involved with Rory at the Crows, and he said Rory was left out of the side, not injured...

Interesting, I was told by someone at the club it was due to the knock to the head he got last week

Well...that was as boring as batshit.
I dont want to bang on about West game style blah blah..
I thought Norwood put in an awesome performance of high pressure football and made the bloods look really bad. Twice in a few weeks.

Great turn out though.
Just shows the bulk of SANFL followers like to go to a GF without Centrals in it.
If one of these days two of he big 4 supporter base clubs (Port /Norwood/Sturt/Glenelg) make the GF, there will be 40-50k once again.

pitty it wasnt a better spectacle

Yeah the 7th biggest crowd since 2000, really "shows" that.

You seem to forget the 10-15k rent-a-crowd members that roll up on GF day whenever Dogs are playing. Most of them so pissed or stoned that they have no idea that there's actually something happening out on the ground!

congrats legs well deserved as for west i feel for the players in the fact you have collins for a coach, people keep saying if west had certain players in we would have had more flexability in their forward line. Only problem with that is they still would have been standing in norwoods forward line. For so long now people have been hoping it is not nwd v wst grand final and see why but we can only beat the team that was good enough to get their, yes we do play a defensive style but with intent of getting the ball forward, we tryed our bit in both finals but west didn't. We would have beaten anybody it was our time and we were not going to let it go. As for free tickets they give them out every year as for waiting another 15 years for another one, Ad Mcguinness,Fuller,Newton,Campbell and host of young players on the verge to this squad and would be very confident it will not be another 15 years.

As a Norwood supporter I totally enjoyed the game and don't think it was as bad as many say. If West want to play their ultra defensive/flood style that is not Norwood's doing ! We have the game plan and players to defeat that, it just takes more effort and time to score.
Band ? What band. I was at the Southern end and we could hear nothing down there, not even the post match presentation. Very poor SANFL.
Atmosphere poor ???? You should have been where we were, it was great amoungst the Norwood crowd gathered at the Southern end.
Not a lot of early posts from Norwood people here because we were out late celebrating ...... you fxxxing beauty !!!!!!!!!!!!!
