29 was about right IMHO
It better have been. After all, the SANFL gave 20 000 tickets away free of charge!!

I have not been approached to coach at the WFC this year, next year or any year. I have not approached the WFC to coach this year, next year or any year. This is an unconditional statement.

I would think the sanfl will consider 29k middle of the road, ok but not brilliant

West would be proud of their achievements this year but their much maligned game plan really bit them today.
It wasn't a match befitting of a grand final ... Collins is either thick, stubborn or both. Blind Freddie could have worked out that a mega flood wasn't going to cut it today, especially against a well disciplined Norwood outfit who know how to turn defence into attack by breaking through a wall.
There were a few occasions today when not only were there 36 players in one half of the ground but amazingly sometimes in only one quarter of the ground ... WTF?
Norwood's game plan is robust, makes sense and is sustainable. West's allowed them to make a grand final in year where the competition was relatively weak, is less than sound, makes little sense and is totally unsustainable.
Maybe somehwat controversially, rather than reward Collins for his efforts, West would be better off dispensing with him and bringing someone in who can harness the talent at West into a more attacking gameplan for a far more sustainable future. Tough call, but IMHO a necessary one.
Anyway, well done Norwood. Apart from having to watch one of the most boring GFs in memory, I had to suffer the ignominy of having a red and blue scarf hanging out of my car window on the way home from Footy Park to appease my recalcitrant wife.
So Dedja you want them to sack Collins.... that's the Glenelg way![]()
I do understand your point though. Two of our key forwards didn't play either due to injury (Webb and Still) which didn't help our forward structure either

Actually Centrals and West got 28,199 in 03, not "around 35k".
Sorry for completely stuffing up your point!

They were very lucky with the weather too and daylight saving helped the later start.
If Norwood v West can get 30k, Norwood v North would have got 35k and Norwood v Glenelg/Sturt/Port would have got 40k.
Let's try and keep the topic on track please folks. GFs dont come and go every year! Oh hang on........
