Two out of three confirmed and hopeful that Andy will be available for a few one day games. Looking like a very similar side to last year. Without Andy we'll be looking for more consistancy from the senior guys and there are a few young guys pushing from the B's.

I heard Mark Townley's not playing, is Ash?

Townley is having a crack at turf. As far as i know Ash is still playing, he's usually a late starter with football comittments, i'd expect him to cement a spot in the A's this year.

Ash is usually involved with Central District but played in the Barossa league this season. I struggle to see how Mark hasn't played more A grade games, he has a fantastic record against us.

Pete isn't nearly what he used to be, infact I struggle to see him causing many if any headaches in Grade 2.

Maybe if he got a bit fitter again.. ?

That's Mark. He can rip through a team on his day but struggled the games I played with him in the A's. I question his motivation at times and think he needs someone in his ear all the time to keep him focused. Maybe a change of clubs will do him good. Would have liked to see how he went in div 2 this year though. Do you know how he's going out there?

He has been training well, hitting some good areas at a nice pace. I would imagine he would be playing Saturday in the trial game, be interesting to see how he goes.

If it's his motivation that is lacking, how is he going to go playing district cricket - especially when the going gets tough?!?

REALLY!!!!

No wonder state cricket is screwed in SA.

No disrespect to Mark because from the many times i have played against him he seems like a top bloke but honestly playing grade cricket.

His a handy div3 bowler at best!!! and thats with the standard drop that sees div3 nearly having all b grade sides and close to having c grade sides.

But you'll be playing Adelaide Turf. Extracting urine.
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

Must be the left-handedness mate, I've seen him bowl in the right area's for the last few years, get's a bit of movement either way and yeah he's a great lad. I think he'll be an asset on turf, I have wondered over the years where he's at with his cricket though. Pretty handy with the willow too.
