Would love to see Kirky come our way. I've heard the rumours too. Although a few Bay blokes are going into 'early retirement', Kirky is one who I can imagine would have no qualms about going to another club, unlike Mules and Rudolph who will simply retire.

I think that is a little unfair on Miles. I have heard both Godden and Miles say that they discussed his future and come to the mutual agreement that he wasn't in the Eagles best team and would be better off seeking other opportunities. If that is correct I don't see that as getting rid of a player that would rather chase money but rather all parties taking a pragmatic approach.

Miles clearly has improved in his time at North which is not unusual for a big man in his mid 20s.

I find it hard to believe Godden would let a player like that go, especially a big man in his early 20's. I stand corrected if that is the case. I totally agree Miles has improved in his time at North. Full credit to him for proving Godden wrong if that is the case.

Godden did. He played one season under Godden. Got injured towards the end and played but had a poor Prelim vs Norwood. Obviously thought he was excess to our requirements with Hoban and Bock expected to get better and Redden expected to get more game time with the Eagles. Proved not to be the case and while not costing us in 2011, cost us big time this season.

Correct on Miles...Godden thought he would get better opportunities at another club. He did the right thing by Miles and most Eagles supporters are not surprised he has done well at North.

More and more players will change clubs in the SANFL seeking opportunities given it is harder by AFL rules re salary caps and import rules to recruit ready made ex AFL or current VFL players.

North have done well this year with so called "re-cycled" players!

Another chance for one of the part owners of this site to crack some more hilarious jokes about Centrals.

Spoke with his Dad, he said it was still up in the air. Suckers loves the Club, misses Melbourne. A chance for sure, but just as likely that he'll stay.

I spoke to him last at the Bay ground before our last game of the minor round. He was rested for the game but was there to support his teamates in both the league and the "Magoo's" (my comment not his)

I asked him point blank what he thought of Norwood, its culture and the standard of SANFL vs the VFL.

His return comments were adament, he loved it here in SA, loved the NFC especially the passion from everyone involved in it and its supporters, the standard of play and umpiring here is a large step up from the VFL and wanted nothing better than to stay here, if, he is not drafted to the AFL which is not surprising and highly probable.

Cheers.

To be honest not sure what I should say about Hill??? One of my 2nd Cousins is best mates with him and he told me when we signed Hill he would be lucky to play 1 league game and that he was a dud.

I think my cousin was wrong in one part - Stuart played 2 League games!
