Fair dinkum....

Thanks for clearing that up Ecky & mjjc. Was never meant to cause a ruckus, just stating that V2 was on it's way out. Seriously, let the Exec do their job FFS! Lots of critics and none of them offering to help.

And some peanuts need to get over their obsession with "a captain of a Div 1 team last year". Got boring a long time & a few usernames ago...

their going to make mistakes as well all do, let them get on with it

Here, here. Well said Ted.

Grand final replay round 1 in the A grade, albeit with very different sides I expect.

We are playing Para Teachers. Side will be picked tonight, so not sure how weak or strong it will be.

Baldo,
Firstly I'm not on the exec, and I don't know what has caused the delays this year, but if the past is anything to go by, the usual cause of delays are due to clubs being unsure on the number of teams they are fielding - they only want to commit to their team numbers after they have had a few practice sessions and I believe this is fair enough too. It is a waste of time for the exec to formulate a draw 5 weeks in advance, only for there to be numerous changes to the teams participating over the following weeks. So I think you should find out the circumstances before being too critical.

I notice too from a quick glance of other forums, that other associations are only finalising their draws now too, the situation is common everywhere.

Anyway, I know it is nice to know, but why do you really need to know the draw more than a week in advance? You only find out the draw for finals less than a week in advance, and nobody seems to have a problem with that.

not quite - you know when you will be playing and that it will be a 2 day match.

people may wish to organise things maybe 3 or 4 weeks in advance that arent related to cricket and may want to knwo what weekends best suit them and teh club ie in 1 or 2 day matches

You may have parted the Red Sea my son, but you're deluded if you think your forum input has had an influence on the draw... :P ;)

NEK & Rose Lakes should start favs imo. Vi$ta will be up there. Not much has been said about any new players from lutheran or enfield. So....

Fitzroy
NEK
Rose Lakes
Vista
Lutheran
Enfield

Who really knows tho, anything could happen.

Yeah going around again.....may have picked up a keeper last night, thank ****, that may prolong my career a bit.

Should be a good tight comp, have you lost anyone or you looking good?

Sounds like the comp will not only be even but a bit stronger across the board. Its good to hear given the negativity that has shrouded this competition over the last few years. I am looking forward to some good competitive cricket and a few cold brews at the end of a days play, its been a long winter!

I'm confident Rose Park will be up there again this year. We'll be doing it tough early with a number of key players missing but that's generally true for most clubs at one point or another.
