Hahahaha.

Your better players come from a country league similar in standard to this and couldn't win a flag, yet you think all your fringe players would be able to perform at a level higher than what your best players xould in the similar league!

You poached country footballers to make the grade lad.

Enjoy your success but I wouldn't suggest going around trashing other comps as I think it may come to bite your arse when those same blokes leave you club in the near future!

What drugs are you on? We got one player from a country league. Your post makes no sense.

Molyneux (before his 1 yr at CD's) Gawler Central your B&F
Williams Gawler Central your Norm Smith medalist
Brading Gawler Central

All Country

A Couple of Para Hills boys that were moderate div 3 players as well now on your list

Molyneux, one year at Gawler Centrals many years at Central Districts. Only 20 this year. Would tear any comp to pieces. Not a country player but if he was would be a shot at any league medal.

Williams one year at GC. Won the league rising star had a year off playing cricket. Is not a country player and again was an 18 yo when he was.

If you are going to call everyone who has played one year in the country a country player you need to make your list a lot longer.

Think GC finiished 3rd that year.

What is your point anyway? Because they didn't win a premiership in Barossa but did in div 3, that div 3 is no good. Again, stupid post.

Do your homework Shrek, they both played 4 yrs at the club I think you will find and are zero point players to that club, so pretty sure that would make them country footballers regardless of age!

What about long and Mcaferty (?) that u tried to recruit from the same club, but then couldn't fit them in the points cap!!!! Lol!

So 10 of the 15 points u used are from country football, my point being without those 3 u wouldn't have won the flag, hence probably not in a position to pot country leagues!

Sorry little buddy. All came out cause were mates of boys at the club. All have lived in Paralowie/Salibury all there lives. Not country footballers.

PS where did I pot a country league?

Shrek sorry mate, I enjoy your razz ups but the boys you've mentioned are all 0 point players from a country club and this by any description makes them country footballers. I know first hand that GC were very eager to get them back from Centrals however were 'outbid' for their services.
Before you go getting sooky about the 'outbid' point remember that it could mean that GC offered them cents and your mob offered dollars. At the end of the day I dont care and good luck to any club that has the brains and resources to pay footballers highly or lowly; the point is your original post bagging HFL footy is ridiculous based on viewing one game which by all reports (even those from the clubs in question) was terrible.
For your sake I hope that the mighty Chics do continue their onslaught up the ranks because its bloody sensational for SAAFL footy.

Its hard to understand what people thought they would see during the Grand Final because it was never going to be a 20 goal shoot out. Anybody with any football knowledge and who saw Handorf put in a pitiful effort the week before would realise beating Mt Barker in an open ended game playing them in a shoot out would result in a belting. Uraidla closed the game down made it contested footy but we saw what Mt Barker would do when they could run and carry, they would tear sides apart. I for one was glad the game was close, from a neutral viewer’s point of view it was better than watching a one sided game, what you want from a grand final is when it could go either way deep into the last quarter and this game did. It wasn’t as exciting as last year’s game but better then the games of years gone by where everyone knew coming into the game that Mt Lofty would win the Grand Final or a few years ago when Uraidla were heavy favourites to beat Blackwood.

Now onto next year what clubs have the ability to close the gap, Mt Barker are young and dedicated and will be hard to beat, do Uraidla lose many to retirement? Do Handorf pick up the 1 or 2 that they need? Can Blackwood put whole games together ?

Which of these clubs will have a new coach?
Will Mt Barker be able to keep their rumoured expensive team together or will some of these players look to utilise their medals for more money elsewhere..?

Hey, all I said is that it was a shit game of football to watch. Didn't expect to see a 20 goal shoot out, I just wanted to see a good game of football, which this was not. As I said before, all credit to Mt. Barker for doing what they had to do to win the thing and that was their style that got them through all year.

Still a shit game to watch but people bag the Sydney Swans for that too don't they.........
I hate Full Back.....................

TBS, considering the kids player at least3 if not 4 years, I think the following applies:

"A registered player of a club of an Affiliated League who has played a total of 25 or more games in the Senior (a grade) Team, Reserves (B Grade) Team or Junior Football Teams with that Club, who has transferred to a Club of another League within Australia and returns to his original Club will have a Player Points Rating of zero (0)."

They ARE zero point players to that club, and after speaking to an official there recently, will be targeted heavily in the next few weeks!

Dont get me wrong lad, I watched your GF, really happy for your club to win, but now your aguments and straight BS! so happy to clear the air!

Footy never finishes if you're involved with a club. Now starts recruiting, coaches, sponsorship, facilities, reviews, best and fairest counts, league issues. Yep, never stops...

I'm sure there are more appropriate places to discuss the movements of Gawler Central and Kilburn players? Barossa forum maybe?

Scott Sutherland going on next year?

Anyone care to comment on the rumours that Ironbank are set to lose 2 players back to their home club of Happy Valley?

Only thing I have heard re: Ironbank is that they are refusing to pay players next year. Could be linked.

story is that some clubs are considering going down a path similar to lofty whereby no players are paid (in terms of a set match fee) but they compensate for this by having a very generous incentive program. in some instances, if your team wins and you are named best, you could be looking at $800 plus.
