I think they have recruited the much sort after Hobbs, after Vista and Rose Park couldn't squeeze him into their salary caps

sounds like Enfield should now be at $1.01 odds to win the Div 1 flag then!

Rose Park $ 1.01
NEK $2.50
P V $3.50
Fitzroy $4.00
Adel Luth $7.50
Enfield $501

Lets go Knighters big year ahead.

nice odds george.... can i put $1000 on PV and $1 on Enfield please? but beware of the roys!

cmon you roys!

Looks like you might have to wait a bit longer to attempt to claim my scalp Mr One Ball.. ;) Little birdie tells me the program has changed a tad since it was trotted out, so watch this space...

Think you don't get a crack at me until November sometime, so I should be in a good groove by then... :P

How can this be. Not sure why they need to make changes this late. I hope this is not a sign of things to come. This is not what we need when recruiting players/teams to our comp. good luck to every one this year.
My picks for the year are as follows.

Para vista
Rose park
Nek
Firzroy
Adel Lutheran
Enfield

That's if that's the right teams they may have changed them on us. ;)

SO let me get this right. Para Vista ex captain has complained about Rose Park getting to play Enfield 3 times so the draw will be changed?

Lets see who gets to play them 3 times now.

Stop your sooking and get on with it, what a shambles of a comp.

the program had to be changed due to an error not who plays who 3 times then re arranged so eg a team didnt have like 5 games in a row at home for example that is all

Yep in the previously released draw some teams played 5 games at home and others 7 (go back and check it yourself if you like), as well as some teams having runs of 3 games home or away in a row.

I raised this with the exec (so blame me for any changes), who to their credit, acted on the concern very quickly and within hours came up with a revised draw which had
- all teams playing 6 home and 6 away games
- all teams playing 9 days at home and 9 days away
- no team playing more than 2 games in a row either at home or away

The program is being revised, but not because anyone complained about who is playing who, but because the number of home games that some teams got were not even and the number of days played at home was not even, some team only got 5 home games while others got 7, with the days some teams got 10 days play at home while others got 8, then there was the large number of away or home games in a row. In trying to even everything out, their was some mistakes. It happens, we are sorry, but we have the time to make sure that we get it right.

The changes are being done and a revised draw will be sent to the clubs either tonight or tomorrow night.

The start date still remains the same.

Have to agree with you Ted. There are plenty on here knocking the executive committee but if they thought they could do a better job should've put their hands up at the AGM.

Noticed our div 4 team got 5 games home and 7 away and thought that is a lot of money to pay for a second ground for just 5 home games.

Well done to those that picked it up and the Executive for getting it changed so quickly.
