The cameras show the fans a lot these days and the Hawks are in the granny so I reckon you're right about it getting ugly. I reckon you'll win it but I don't think you'll flog em.

That is very true, but on the flipside, with the MCG allow for sydney to shut down hawthorn's movement of the footy- given the mcg is the widest ground in the AFL....

FWIW (im no bookie), but i see it closing in to be a $1.70-$2.10 or $1.80-$2 game by the time saturday rolls around.

Hawthorn will win it for mine by 14 points with Sam Mitchell claiming the Norm Smith.

The crows did it for nearly 3 and a bit qtrs, they stopped their run of HB and only their midfield generated their drives FWD. Sydney are far superior in the midfield and ruck, so if they can stop Suckling (flat track bully), Birchall and Youngs run they are right in the mix.

dam I must of watched the wrong game. The hawks had plenty of run from there back lines. Sydney game style will be the victim of them on saturday and won't be able to stop the hawks running style of footy. just remember the hawks kicked 19 points on the weekend and majority of those where from set shots or wide out shots, it wasn't the crows defensive pressure that caused that, it was the week off. The only thing that could change this game is it's expected to be wet in melbourne on saturday so could make things interesting.

  this is the most stupid thing I have ever read and proves you have NFI about football. As a defender your aim is to push the FWDs as wide as possible and make the shot they could possibly have on goal harder, this includes the midfield group not allowin teams to run through the middle hitting lead up targets and having shots from directly in front..... How you can relate that to a week off is  yet not suprising

Should be a cracker game! gotta love AFL GF day. BBQ, esky, first goal and norm smith TAB tickets flying around, all attending people choosing a player from a hat and has to drink when they get a touch, p*ss talk and banter. Nothing better

My mistake it was suppose to say wide open shots. I just think it's funny how crows supporters now don't rate hawthorn as flag favourites. This is Hawthorn's flag to lose they are the best team going around and will do it easy on saturday. And it will also prove that if the hawks didn't have the week off how much a blow out last saturday's game would of been.

I think the hawks have been over rated and the swans under rated for a long time now. The Hawks at their best are super not doubt and hodge back in is massive. But when they get broken down and some of thier flat track bullies taken out of the game they are more than beatable.

She's a bit lucky after getting making that clanger during the Prelim but she's normally pretty good though. No Nicholls, no Hawthorn LOL.

A lot has been made of that call, and sure it looks like it's probably carried the line, but I don't think the replays are conclusive .. From the angles they showed and the need for the ball to be entirely over the line, I don't think anyone was in a better position to call it than her.

1st in inside 50s
1st in Clearances
2nd in total disposals
17-5 win loss
and a healthy % of 154.59% with next best being Sydney at 140.58%

Oh God. People piss and moan endlessly about over officiating and on a decision that no evidence, be it witnesses or multiple camera angles could clearly define what happened you want to ask the boundary umpire?

It was a point, the goal umpire said so. All clear.

Settle pettle..
I really could not give a stuff about the decision to be frank.
My "question" was that they involve them every other time, was he this time as he certainly had an uninterupted view given where he was standing at the time if you missed him in one of the 17 replays...
It was a question of whether he was asked not a statement....

They are over rated in the fact that people think they are totally un beatable this finals series and that they should account for Sydney easily this week. In those 5 losses it showed that they can be taken down when their free flowing footy doesn’t work. When it does work, good luck stopping them but Sydney are the only side who I think can stop that free flowing footy, have the structure to win on the counter attack and are in good form.
