True, crows would have beaten anyone else. My point being though that it took the hawks being well below their best to allow the Crows that sniff they needed

They werent well below their best though..... if they were, they wouldnt have gone inside 50 so many times and their mids/rioli have the stats and games they did. Yes they misses shots on goal, so did AFC v Sydney?

The style of footy the hawks play when it comes off is near on unstopable -but they dont always play that well. When their 'perfect' game style doesnt work they have the class players to get over the line though 9 times out of 10.

Thats why I think Sydney will pinch it, they are experienced, structured and disciplined enough to break them down for 4 qtrs

That is very true, but on the flipside, with the MCG allow for sydney to shut down hawthorn's movement of the footy- given the mcg is the widest ground in the AFL....

FWIW (im no bookie), but i see it closing in to be a $1.70-$2.10 or $1.80-$2 game by the time saturday rolls around.

Hawthorn will win it for mine by 14 points with Sam Mitchell claiming the Norm Smith.

Yes, bad kicking is bad footy though.

I think Sydney will hold them early, but not quite as long as they will need to kick a decent score themselves. Can they kick 15-17 goals? They will need to

The crows did it for nearly 3 and a bit qtrs, they stopped their run of HB and only their midfield generated their drives FWD. Sydney are far superior in the midfield and ruck, so if they can stop Suckling (flat track bully), Birchall and Youngs run they are right in the mix.

If I was Sydney, without getting distracted about it, when the opportunity presents I would be trying to smash into Rioli as hard as possible.

Not easy to do because of how elusive he is, but I reckon he's seemed a bit fragile this year .. Take him out and it's a big reduction in the Hawks X-Factor players.

As Pup mentioned, Brent Guerra's ruled himself out.
Not sure what was wrong with him, but it's a good honest move.

dam I must of watched the wrong game. The hawks had plenty of run from there back lines. Sydney game style will be the victim of them on saturday and won't be able to stop the hawks running style of footy. just remember the hawks kicked 19 points on the weekend and majority of those where from set shots or wide out shots, it wasn't the crows defensive pressure that caused that, it was the week off. The only thing that could change this game is it's expected to be wet in melbourne on saturday so could make things interesting.
