I mentioned Turley.

There was a few others i was going to mention Connell, he played some decent footy at Adelaide, Gardiner needed to leave to get away from Perth and Ball i was tempted to mention too but i think we got more service out of him, although he played a role in WCE loss in the 2005 Grand Final.

I think we will be adding a couple more this year unfortunately, one in particular i am not keen on losing and that is Koby Stevens.

I have a feeling Scott Thompson was somehow involved in the trade that saw Stenglein to WCE. Not sure though.

He sure was GWW

No i wouldnt say he was better at the Eagles than the Crows but he was crucial in our premiership in 2006 with the roles he played on the best mid and also providing support for Cousins, Judd and co.

Eagles sent pick 13 to melbourne, Crows got Thompson and pick 28 and WCE got Steinglein.

He played some good footy but just needs oppurtunities at the highest level. He is hard at it and a good inside midfielder and i think his kicking has improved. Other clubs are definately keen.

Would be a great get for Port.

Boak, Hartlett, Stevens, Ebert is the start off a very good young midfield but i think Victorian clubs will get first bite given he is from there but maybe Brad Ebert can have some sway to get him there if indeed he does ask for a trade.

I think I read somewhere he was mates with Butcher, they may have played for same junior club before being drafted?

I would think though the Eagles may be reluctant to deal with Port after WCE got the worst of the deal that saw Ebert to Port.

Goddard getting closer to becoming a Bomber is the rumour in Melbourne ATM.
Apparantly Saints have upped offer to 3x $700k but cant go higher due to cap and they wont give him more than 3 years.
Essendon have reportedly offered a 4x $800k deal.
Looks like we are having a decent crack at someone for once and going to have a real go at free agency.
Sounds like Maloney will be coming over aswell

i dont no much about him or seen much of him but i thought Koby Stevens looked like a player in the pre season comp, was very surprised not to see him in the WC team more this year, i was impressed by his ability to take contested marks for a mid sized midfielder and would be a very handy player of the future if the power could attract him

Knights walks out on Crows :

The 96-game midfielder/forward will explore free agency after becoming frustrated by the lack of opportunities he was given with the Crows this year.

Knights - who turns 26 tomorrow - played just five games this season and did not feature in Adelaide's finals campaign.

An unrestricted free agent, Knights is free to join the club of his choice and is understood to wants to join Richmond.

Pure inside mid and couldnt push Kerr, Priddis or Scooter Selwood out obviously and is not efficient enough to play before the likes of Schuey,Gaff and Masten.

Was looking at a half back role but again have an abundance of good tough HB who are already in the side. So until his disposal improves again or we lose a midfielder then he is going to struggle.

8-12 games next year if he stays.

That's not unreasonable as he doesn't have much future with the Crows. Past injuries may have played a part in his decline, but his current performance would not get him into the team unless a substantial group of other players were not available.
He kicked a few goals at his best but never looked like a contested ball getter.
