kickinitn you dropkick i said said the first 3 descisions were bad decisions IE WERE BEN Ruttens dropped mark the kick over ben over Rutterns head that went to sirrel the handpass to the player under pressure in the 3rd 1/4{three bad turnovers @ the start of the 3rd 1/4) two average descisions that went their way did not help) yes i thought the reversal descision was averages but something had to make up for lack of support we were getting from the kermmits, not once did i blame the umpires for the lose i blame the 3 skill errors)
AS I said the better team team on the night won but non supporters like you only look for neagatives to bag Adelaide.

Seems every crows fan was sure they were gonna get smashed today.

I was one nervous hawk fan all week. And a wreck most of tonight too. The crows justified my worries with a gutsy performance. Highlighted our deficiencies.

Umpires might not have been great but the Hawks have Schoenmakers. That evens things up a little bit.

The umpires sure proved that they are from Victoria. They were terrible.

WB you know footy better than to think the Crows were lucky today. Lucky sides don't respond all day to a genuine premiership favorite against all odds. Crows time ain't now but with their approach to Football today they ain't far away.
Bottom line if the Crows finished top and in hindsight should have if they were good enough all this talk about umpires wouldn't have happened.
Sanderson is an outstanding coach, let's trust this bloke to take us to the next level I know I trust him.....

Where did you say the first 3 decisions where bad? You where talking about how much more heart the crows had tonight compared to Port in game 5 years ago. I simply showed that if some of the crows players had heart like you said you should of won that game. Pretty much every crows supporter on my facebook page has said they got a hard hand by the umpires which is simply not true. Hawthorn wanted the ball more and where rewarded for it, just like it should be. Maybe instead of being a typical crows supporter you should be happy about the good this has done the club and the experience it has given to the younger players for years come. Oh and by the way even though I'm a port supporter I was still barracking for the crows as i'm a true south aussie and hate the vics just like I did in 97 and 98.

What a game last night, the crows almost pulled it off. I thought when they were up with 5 mins to go they might just get this an make a massive upset. If that happened I reckon Bigfooty would have gone into melt down as most of the talk was about the Hawks by how much. Well that was answered last night 5 points.

Really the Hawks should of won by 6 -7 goals, but bad kicking is bad football. And they let the crows in and they almost stole the farm.

Just some points, Rutten did fairly well on Buddy. At times it looked like buddy was getting away from him, but geez he would hard and held his own.

I thought that Tippett and Walker looked like they were on yesterday and again this almost spelled disaster for the Hawks, that backline is a slight worry. Gibson was busy with Tippett or Walker and Shoemakers again looked in trouble back there. But then again down the other end Roughead would have put the game out of reach if he could mark

Just a question, Luke Thompson young fella - how did cyril take a constested mark on you in that last qrt? I know hes pretty quick but hes 4 foot 1.

Anyway it was a good effort by the crows and almost steal it.

as a crows follower i persoanally thought we would get thrashed tonight but i was surprised that we led @ half time more surprised that we lead with 4 minutes to go. i know most people will bag the crows but if port had shown half the heart the crows did tonight they would probably not be as as embarrased as they were in 2007. the better side for the nigh won good luck to puopolo and shoemakers next week should be a ripper grand final go the legs @ least

Not sure what it is with you crow supporters that go straight on the offensive and start hammering other teams.

Its funny I said to a make yesterday bad luck you almost stole. His reaction was "yeah well where were you guys, not there so shut up". Valid point but if I wasnt actually saying back I thought you almost had it and well played. Seriously crows supporters relax, you dont always have to go on the offensive and look to attack someone or blame someone. A bit of luck in that last quater and you might of had it, but geez just relax. The crows played as well as they could have. Might not be this year but next year is a real chance.

May have had a few froffies when I posted what I did and was just tryn get a reaction... Seriously had a massive crack, and they really exposed the hawks...
The hawks will have some sore bodies... Sando is a ripper coach...

In the light of the day the better team won, crows were great but weren't good enough. It should be a classic next week with the two best sides in the big game. Umpires were ordinary in both preliminary finals!

That was the 3rd classic final between crows and hawks.

I must say i was one early in the week thinking the Crows wouldn't get within 60 pts.
As the game drew closer, the Hawks were all everyone was talking about & it was by how much they'll win by especially the melb media.
The pressure was mounting on Hawthorn & the fear of failure no-doubt was entering their players & coaches mind, it didn't surprise me in the end the Crows took it right up to them, they grew in confidence & belief the longer the day went & they knew they were always a chance. You can blame umpiring decisions, certain players ( the what ifs ? ) but it just comes down to a little luck in the end & luck does play a part in close victories. The inside 50s were staggering Hawthorn 64 Adelaide 38 but only 5 pts seperated the 2 teams.
Great effort by the Crows & coach Brenton Sanderson, in his first year, it just goes to show he had the support of his troops unlike Neil Craig in previous years.

I was shattered we lost last night but happy with the way we went about it in the end. We never gave up and took our chances when the Hawks let us in. Yep, they should have been in front by more but they weren't. Umpiring wasn't why we lost. In close games you can highlight so many different things and blame that, I thought one defining was late in the game when Callinan had the ball and kicked into Dangerfield, put the ball too short and Danger had the pick up off the half volley, Patty was stuffed so he was going as fast as he could, if that kick carried about 1 mtr further he marks and has a set shot, instead he gets tackled ball spills out and goes down the other end Buddy goal. We made some terrible decisions in the last that I put down to be tired and the pressure. Great year for the Crows, had a great draw and did what they should with it which is more than previous years, the best two sides will play off in the GF and I think the Hawks will be the winner.

2nd best game of footy i've gone too. Nothing will beat our 04 prelim against S.Kildaa but this came close.
As much as I hate the Crows, by the end of the night I was barracking for them. Unbelievable scenes when they hit the front. There was a huge Pile up and all the Crows fans were going nuts. Incredible to watch and soak in the atmosphere

Coleman never coached Melbourne.
Norm Smith was sacked as Melbourne coach after winning 6 flags in his 15 year tenure.
