I always wonder if the inclusion of Wojo in that 2008 side might have swung the match our way. We lacked run on that day and Wojo could have helped us break the lines.

Who would have he replaced in the side though? Varcoe, Stokes?

Yeah was looking like a great player, not real sure, maybe lost a bit of pace or just never took it to the next level.

Injuries destroyed him and just couldnt get back to a high level consistently. Such a same was very highly rated.

yeah. He was the highest paid Rookie in AFL history. North would have had to pay his salary last year even if he got drafted by another club

As well as his defensive work on the ball or in defence, Nathan van Berlo takes critical marks and kicks critical goals at key times.
He does a lot of the key holding things together stuff essential to the team.
Not speccy but steadily effective, like the similarly maligned (by the shallow observer) Michael Doughty.

and just to clarify, im not saying he is best player/captain, but what he does is vital to the side and he is definately in the best 22. He sets the standard in a lot of areas that a captain has to
