havent heard of it yet?
and whats the cost?

if you download the premium pack (costs about $70, 4000points) you get access to all expansions that come out over the next 12 months or so. It is basically like buying a new game but the content is released over the course of 12 months. There are now 8 new maps with different game play. There are 4 COD type maps where it is close combat style and the game type is called Gun Master and Conquest Domination. The other 4 maps i am yet to see and not sure of the game type, should know more after this evening ;)

JBs are having a 2 for $40 on PS3 games, so yesterday I picked up Crysis 2 and Borderlands.

Im a massive fan of the first Crysis on PC, and 2 is even better. Awesome graphics. Hopefully Ill finish this one before Crysis 3 comes out early next year.

Ive enjoyed Borderlands so far. The sequal comes out soon too, so depending if this one keeps my attention, I might fork out for the new one.

Much better IMHO and a lot more fun to play campaign style.
Its very cartoonish, doesn't take itself too seriously and is lots of fun/entertainment.
Like a FPS and RPG combined.
Very easy and fun to shoot but tactics still required for harder events.
Couldn't recommend it more highly but only ever played it on PC, I wouldn't bother with it on a console, mind you I wouldn't bother with any game on a console.
COD, Bioshock 2, Battlefield 3, Fall Out 2 and Crysis weren't virtually unused after I bought them but I thrashed the hell out of Borderlands when I got it, except for a couple of MMORPGs (Wow and SWToR) probably the only game I've thrashed since Unreal Tournament which I loved at the time.
Also bought Red Dead Redemption to play on my son's Xbox but got bored of that in 2 mins.

i loved the first borderlands, but be aware, i think due to the cartoonie (yes i just made up that word) graphics i couldnt play i for long periods of time. not sure if it will effect everyone but after a while i found it difficult to look at the screen. after a break for a while though it was fine.

i really enjoyed 2 player co op too. ill definitely look into number 2.

I only got the original Borderlands the other day (as stated at the top of this page) and about 15 missions into it.

It starts off a bit slow where you get a mission in the town, kill a few Skags (mutant animal thingos) and a few bandits and return to the town. Over and over again. But once you start to level up a bit, and getting new weapons, it gets really fun.

The trailer for the new one looks like the graphics are a bit smoother, and the story line looks like a winner too.

Installing it on 2 machines atm, not too bad, taking about 30 mins.
But I'll wait till I get my son home before starting it, thought I'd have the installs all out the way by the time he got home.
T minus 2 hours and 15 minutes till I'll be playing!
:D
