I dont know why people keep questioning Darren Glass as captain? Wonderful captain and has had a terrific year.

As for the team Jetta and Jacobs in and Rioli and Nic Nat out. We all know i am an eagles fan but for mine Nic Nat didnt do enough to be in the side this year.

Agreed. I thought it was a good choice.
There were a few blokes who could have got it and Glass was one of them.

Nic Nat wouldn't make an All-Australian 2nd side.
No doubt the bloke has talent, but he's got a long way to go.
Rarely plays well away from Subi too.

Glass didn't carry his team over the line in any games this year. Watson did this on numerous times during the season. Glass does not play on the best forward, his disposal is average and he gets away with lots of holding and scragging that he shouldn't.

I thought Watson was the stand-out leader of the competition, the captaincy was an easier decision than any position this year IMO.

I think glass was a good captain.
I would have had gazza before both of them though

I'd have had Pavlich as Captain, but the committee couldn't for obvious reason.

No and I bet you didn't either. From what I have see he was not AA captain material. I would of watched over 50% of WC games.

Are you talking about Jobe? Seem to recall Essendon's biggest problem this year was lack of leadership.

I was thinking the twenty-something soft tissue injuries may have played a role.

Yeah I think Bombers fans may have a different take to TSG on why there season faded out. It's the first time I have heard the theory that it was his fault.

I did and he had a wonderful year. Dont under rate what he does for his side week in and week out like you seem to be doing and dont let the fact that his role has changed (quite similar to Scarlett/Fletcher) affect his reputation. Rarely gets beaten and in my eyes well and truly deserved the captaincy.

You are biased. Rarely gets beaten because he plays on spuds with a fist full of jumper.

Jobe Watson should of been named captain.

I would've seen 15-16 games. The joys of Foxtel
He does a terrific job as skipper. As do Jobe and Gazza.

Easier to name the average captains, Judd, then the good ones.
