A great day for all the loyal MP people yesterday and another high quality game against the 'Gullies'. I would like to pay a special tribute to Pete Martin, the players and everyone from TTG. You have been fantastic opponents over the last 2 seasons, but above all you play real hard and real fair and are gracious in defeat. May we meet again. ^:)^ ^:)^

Congrats Yank Man.... a win you guys have been building towards for a few years now and im sure you guys are confident to continue the rise through the grades...All the best in the future..

Im sure the next time you play TTG you would love it to be against their A and B grade sides which would mean MP have risen to div1 or 2 which would take them back to their good old glory day's...

Good luck for the future of the club..MP have always been a solid club that fell on hard times and its great for footy to see them back on top once again... :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Cheers Morell, a little bittersweet to win a premiership, but not with the boys I played with all year. Glad I could be involved with a great group of blokes in both our C and D grade teams.

Congrats Yank Man, your boys were excellent on Saturday and really stepped it up another notch. Good luck next year in Div 6. Congrats to our boys as well because any C grade team reaching a grand final in an A grade competition is a huge achievement.

EDIT - Young Daishy there has a bung ankle and isn't pretending to be a Playboy centrefold....although the missus thinks he could probably be in Playgirl.

congratulations to the MPFC.great win and great season.
i would like to say that a premiership is great and will always hold great memories and special bonds but to me on saturday that was not the highlight.
to walk into the ground and see one half of the viewing area,a complete wing, full with the red, green and white army was amazing.only a few years ago the club was lucky to get over fifty people to a game.the families, the kids, the sponsors and even a few that dont get to many games covering so much area was spectacular and to be honest went a long way to winning the game.it was worth who knows how many goals.that win was as much to do with you guys as was the players who played so bravely.congratulations to coaches, players, supporters ,sponsors
and the whole MPFC FAMILY.well deserved

Congrats to Mitchell Park on their premiership. Good work. Unlucky to TTG but a great job just to make the GF.

As is always the case with a C grade side making the GF do TTG plan on going up? I know its early stages but just wondering. I dont have an issue if they choose to stay down if they are honest in assesing their list ala SHOC last season. I did hear Wingfield are looking at having 2 teams next season. Could this cause an issue with Div 7 C & D grade teams pushing down to Div 8 if all clubs in Div 8 have C & D grade sides again?

Pete is a great man, been through some rough times in the last 12 months and even though I hate TTG FC (MFC v TTG rivalry) the way they have supported him has been great to see.

TTG will be staying down is the last I have heard.

The majority of their C Grades better players will either be hanging up the boots or playing higher.

Eeerrrrr, maybe not with what they have recruited already for 2013. Bigger than your boys big recruitment in round 16 marbles. At least you can sleep tight knowing you beat the PREMIERS.

Mind u I would predict a very close game if TTG c-grade played TTG b-grade

If the latter could win fair to say that mitchell park also could which therefore means a NOW div 6 side in mitchell park could beat a NOW div 1R side in TTG :D

That is a ridiculous comment. Your A's take you up the divisions but if anyone really thinks a Div 7 or Div 6 team can beat a Div 1 res or a Div 2 res team for that matter then they are dreamin', unless they had a really really bad day.

That is a shamble of a comment. If u cant now agree that the calibre of ttg cgrade are are near equal to that of a div2r bgrade then all your harmony and sheer love and praise for ttg this year has been lies and youve been playin them along :P
