I reckon they have the backline spot on. All of those named have had great years.
Heard a lot of people bag Dempster and Birchall but they have had fantastic seasons

Adrian Anderson and Kevin Bartlett LOL.

Pav's poor first half of the season cost him IMO
Agree about Rioli, he only has to play 1 game a season to get selected such is their love affair with him

Dempster had a good year, but I can understand why some are questionning his selection. Hardly a household name.

As has been discussed... Rioli, Nic Nat and Hawkins lucky. Coleman medalist should be an automatic starter. (I do recall Cummings losing out to glamour boy Lloyd previously though)
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

I think NicNat had a better year than Jacobs personally

Not by much but still better

I reckon NicNat will be a mainstay of future AA teams

When a ruckman leads the hitouts to advantage in the league, he should at least have one of the ruck spots.

Josh Gibson unbelievably unlucky to at least claim a spot on the bench that's full of midfielders.

Jack Riewoldt won the Coleman but didn't deserve a spot IMO, and I watch him every week.

Naitanui and Rioli shouldn't be there, their best 10 games are amazing but their bad 10 are not AA worthy.

Do you really think they look at that stat? Won hit outs and appears in no other catagory. All his career highs were this year against GWS, GC and Port. Nic Nat 7th in total hitouts, 5 in contested marks, 8th in contested marks per game and kicked 24 goals.I don't think they even need to pick 2 ruckman.
Cox is the number 1 ruck this year and should have been the only one selected
All this crying over Jacobs, when Sam Mitchell wasn't even selected, when he is the centremen of the best team in the comp.

Seventh in total hit-outs? Wowee. What a gun. Jacobs had the most.
As for contested marks, Travis Cloke bolted it in there (71, next best was 54), kicked 50+ goals, he had a better year than Nic Nat if you're using those stats.

IMO NIcNat is over rated, he does flashes of brilliance, then stuffs up the basics and goes missing for large chunks of games. A future star no doubt but to say he has had a better year than sauce?

Considering they don't play anyone, why do they need two ruckman like I have said. Jacobs year was no better then Nic Nat and they all played second fiddle to Cox. Nat 24-14 Jacobs 7-8. Season score.
Im not bagging Jacobs, had a fantastic year, but I don't think all australian. I don't think Nic nat either. I love how people say Nic Nat is over rated, but he would play in any side in the competition. He makes mistakes doing things other players couldn't even attempt, I guess you take the good with the bad with a 22 year old.

Why pick a team when they don't play anyone? If you use that logic, why pick defenders and attackers?
Ridiculous comment.

As for not rating Nic Nat, what crap, everyone is impressed with his best and he has phenomenal potential but selecting him in the AA team is overrating his season. Surely.

I think he is over rated.... He is undoubtably talented but at this stage in his career he isnt consistent enough to be rated as good as people do. ie Dangerfield last year and patches this year

If you got all the unlucky names and put them in a side, this second AA team would look pretty good. Maybe the 2 could play off at the end of the season ;)

When they named Cox in a Fwd Pocket, straight away i thought, Jacobs got the ruck spot, fell off the longe when they named Nic Nac.
