200 Killer Wasps wrote:First NAFA game I had ever seen and was very impressed with the standard. Ball moved quickly with a lot of skill and an emphasis on long kicking to a player running to position. The umpiring was good, gave plenty of opportunity to dispose of the ball and looked after the bloke with his head over it. As a neutral observer I thought the umpires had no bearing on the final outcome.

Appeared as if they only gave 25m penaties and not 50s and from the B grade no yellow cards. On that topic, I thought that although the A grade was played hard there was no spiteful stuff or cheap shots.

Joel Palmer (23) was my pick for BOG but only just ahead of at least six others. When I saw the shattered Southern Flinders players walk off the ground I was amazed at the amount of young kids they had in their team. Plenty of good times ahead for these blokes in the coming years if they stick together.

One of the biggest crowds I have seen in country footy and very well catered for. No problems getting out, with three lines of cars leaving from different directions a lot of courtesy was shown with each line having there turn getting out of the gate.

Only downside - run out of Coke Zero in the last quarter.

Nicely put Wasp.

Sounds like you had a good day Wasp. I know money cant buy somethings, but you should have let me know you were coming. I could have made arrangements for a pass into the change rooms to meet the players, possibly even the great Dogga..

Ok it's been over a month now.
Heard Dogga Woodards is playing in the Territory during the off season, so should come back ripped for 2013.

Is that right Duke? I heard he was hanging out a lot up in the Riverland somewhere where his "love interest" was.

My best estimates are: Three are set in concrete, two are probably sweet and one is on a knife edge. You should be able to figure it out

Butch should be okay because no one else wants the job. I suspect the Maggies could be on target for back to back wooden spoons and it is hardly a coaching issue, they just don't have the players.

I'll have a guess:

Crystal Brook - Joel Head safe went back to back.
Southern Flinders - Scott Brand safe, very close to 3 flags in 5 years.
Broughton - Duffield safe, went from bottom to third.
Orroroo - Dignan safe, club chamption enough said.
BMW - could be the one on a knife edge but horrendous run with injuries.
Jamestown - Smith safe, refer above...

Well they will announce the committee and president but beyond that I dunno. I'm having lunch in Pirie (salad rolls and mineral water on Solly beach) tomorrow and something might come from that.

Yeah it was nice. Lovely day, lunch was yummy and research was fruitful. Dropped $300 in Woolies though!

That rumour hits town every year and both guys inevitably stay put at Centrals. I suspect David Zubrinich will be reappointed at BMW but its only a theory. Being the social butterfly that I am, I will be lunching in Jamestown tomorrow and hope to come away with a bit of an idea what the Maggies are up to for 2013.

No, a medium rare scotch filet at the Railway Hotel. My friends chose the venue a couple of years ago and it works a treat
