Poll would be more appropriate in this context.

Redmond plans on sacking 25,000 Public Servants. I wonder if she's just cost herself the next election.

No doubt she backflipped after she realised the ramifications of what she said, or at least someone pointed it out to her.

ABC news reported that we have 101000 public servants in SA. That's almost one in ten per head of population. Redmond probably has a point that we have too many with their snouts in the trough.
I agree - clean out 25000 freeloaders.

She may or may not be right.
But in political conversation it's a stupid comment and you have to wonder how she could make another stuff up like this. Very ordinary performance.

I love the way the PSA trot out the "less teachers, nurses and police" every time someone wants to cut their numbers.
Are there 101,000 teachers, nurses and police out there somewhere?
Let's start with 3 out of every 4 people that I see following every cabinet minister everywhere they go.
Political and media advisers can be the first to go

Yes, but most of those are either police, teachers, nurses or emergency service workers.
Which of the services do you want to eliminate - the police force, the health system or the education system.

It's ill informed truth. Come back and answer the question properly later when exact figures and a formal policy has been developed. It would have been better than her less than polished performance yesterday.
Even as she answered the question she seemed uncomfortable and uncertain with the answers she was giving.

Heard her on the radio this morning say, "I'm human, I make mistakes". I've heard her say that several times. She needs to stop making them, her leadership depends on it.

Freeloaders are still freeloaders in any of those industries.

And thanks for the extremism - eliminate those industries is hardly what anyone is proposing.

She can tell the truth as often as she likes. People won't mind, infact they will prefer it. But she shouldn't necessarily expect any votes from it.
