hats off to PAOC for doing the right thing by Uni.

Hopefully for us the SAAFL realises that an achievement like having 3 teams in grand finals deserves the chance to have a united club on the biggest day of the year!

If broadview were in div 2 this year and A's, B's and C's were all in the grand final, I'm sure broadviews C grade would have no problem playing at the earliest possible time so they can watch the other grades play.
But now that they are the only senior team in a GF things change

Why put in all the hard work through the season playing week in week out at 2:15 just to play a grand final at 10am to suit the team your playing against. No offence but i believe Broadview made the right decision to knock back the request.

Latter. Would've probably made it if he trained but hasn't for weeks.

Good luck to Kilburn, SMOSH and Athelstone tomorrow. Wishing it was us again.

Just to let your supporters know, there will be SAAFL appointed gatekeepers and security checking for liquor licensing breaches at the ground tomorrow, so your car may get searched for grog. We will have a bar/BBQ on both sides of the ground, as well as the canteen in the clubrooms, so the beers and food won't run out and should be easy to get your hands on. Should be a beautiful day for footy.

FWIW, I did up a TOTY last night, came up with this:

F: M. McCallum (Kilb) T. Evans (Pemb) S. White (SMOSH)

HF: A. Brackstone (Kilb) N. Jolly (PNU) T. Dimasi (Salis)

C: L. Whitelock (Pemb) T. Burrows (PNU) © P. Marshall (Seat)

HB: G. Tume (Salis) A. Rowett (PNU) S. Sullivan (Ath)

B: D. Hosking (Poor) I. Ralston (SMOSH) C. Schapel (Kilb)

R: N. Pearce (Kilb) C. Molyneux (Kilb) J. Sheedy (Ath)

Int: C. Schultz (Mitch) P. Lowe (PNU) R. Bowman (SMOSH) D.Osborne (Mitch)

Apologies to Walsh (Seaton), Raymond (CBCOC), Leahy (Seaton), Barmby (Salis), Howson (Kilb), and Coard (Seaton), who had a good couple of finals that I didn't count. Others like Heffernan, Molitor and Pinkney wouldve been close but missed large chunks, Heffernan and Molitor especially.

Sullivan, Whitelock and Osborne don't get heaps of fanfare around the league but have had excellent seasons and deserve spots I think. A lot of the rest pick themselves. Critique away.

No room for Pressler, or Reed, the runner-up, or Whelan, who came third. No offence to those lads, all good footballers, and Corey is a good leader of that side, just don't think the umps got it right.
