James found not guilty because He didn't do anything. The facts are...Clinch belted James full-on in the face, behind play. Luckily James was wearing a mouth guard...if he wasn't, He would have lost a couple of teeth. He still sustained some injuries around the mouth & nose & the upper gum. No wonder the twins were angry.

Why? Now he's got a "claim" to fame amongst mental midgets. You mustn't rate him much as player.

I don't know what you're on about re: claim to fame with mental midgets.

He's played very well in recent weeks, we will miss him but look forward to having him him back in the Prelim Final.....

I've watched Gowans (the number 28 one) frequently give opposition players a punches/elbows/etc behind the play in the past decade (and annoyingly watch North players do nothing about it).

Simple, you think missing potentially two finals games for hitting a person behind play is "worth it". Strange thought process. I wonder if he thinks it's worth it. He may never get the opportunity to play finals football again (hopefully).

I've often offered umpires glasses. They didn't see the Clinch incident either Saturday night, but with Elizabeth's lights that's understandable.

Maybe they were watching where the ball was, rather than behind play, shame them.

Nah, I rather him be playing Sunday. I reckon we're going to need a full strength side to beat the Eagles, so it will hurt us. Just trying to find a positive out of a negative.

Big Phil was reporting He had two teeth knocked out? Which one is it?

Irrelevant now, the guilty verdict has been given so obviously what Clinch did was deemed to be worthy of weeks...

Either he had teeth knocked out or he didn't, why does a guilty verdict make it irrelevant

Did he have teeth knocked out or not?

Irrelevant now is it?

Probably one of those times when unless you know for certain, you probably shouldn't say anything. I mean, I've heard a story about what happened, but as I didn't see or hear what actually transpired, I won't repeat it.

What sort of record does Clinch have? To get 2 for striking is fairly stiff. With no umpires or video evidence, it would have come down to one players word against another's.

Or just the physical scars on James face might be a dead giveaway ;)

Two sides to this story and Clinch was the retailiator based on a "less than savoury" lead up.

Clinch and the NAFC happy to leave it at that and he has to wear the 2 game ban. Apparently even though no one saw the alleged incident and both players had injuries consistent with physical contact only one player gets suspended?
