Can we expect more talk of your good self off to pt elliot in the offseason WIW24? Possible 3 way trade: Chambers to McLaren, WIW24 to Pt Elliot and the big Hamish to Dingy to strengthen their leadership stocks!!!

chingy would probably go to the vale, as when you have a captain go out for the toss with a longneck in A grade, he has probably loss respect for the club, plus he went to willowfest with 4-5 of the vale lads and hit it off, very confident here a chucka.... Wont be at the rabble in which are Aldinga cricket club next year. 8)

There are 4-5 juniors that could slot into B grade cricket next year and with a captain change, I think the Vale will be back in finals action for b grade cricket next year.

Still a couple of months out, but heard this week that Rapid Bay want to stay in B Grade this year. Apparently they want to try for back to back B grade flags instead of stepping up. From what I heard there a few of them that played in a T20 game against Encounter Bay that aren't ready to face Butler, Moules, Lintern etc. in A Grade next year. Weak as p**s if you ask me! I thought they bred them tougher down that way. I guess I was wrong!

really sherm? That's s**t as. So that would send us back to byes in A and B Grade, along with the fact that the C Grade could have only 5-6 teams and possibly an 11-team One Day Comp. That's one weird setup.

I think the Sherminator is throwing out the line with a bit of bait there.. don't Compass guys call that "Nibs" or something??

The latest I've heard (only a couple of days ago), was Rapid Bay in A's, Pongy staying in B's.

That would mean 8 Grades, 8 B Grades. Ideal.

He was bored and had also knocked a few tinnies on the head at the time of writing too!

Good to hear though Offcutter. I think they will be competitive. They are good bunch of blokes and have some handy cricketers in their ranks.

Saw on the Willunga CC FB page that they have a new captain this season, tough call on Minot after winning back to back premierships. Or did he step down?

Also heard McLaren will be without one of their senior members this season. Gianni Petrucci leaving a sizeable gap, in more ways than one, to filled with both bat and ball... not to mention in the slips!

Not long now till rd 1 starts any other news to speak of? Have heard a few rumours out of Encounter Bay that Moules is no good this season and Cammy might no longer be holding the reigns... Does this mean he will be hitting fairways and GIR's instead of boundaries this year?

Any names there Hugh? Yep, Gianni will leave a big gap if he decides not to play. Rumour is his incumbent is fairly handy though..

I think you'll find moules like a few others will play enough days to qualify but may take a bit of step back to try and get his body right. Lintern won't captain captain this year.

Minot stepped down after being a great servant to the club..He will still be aiming at that leg stump tho.
Well done Serge & all the best to Luke "Plugger Harding on the captaincy...(Purely a change of guard)

There's no doubt adjustments will need to be made to the famous red jacket that is synonymous with Willunga A Grade captains! Serge has done an excellent job and I look forward to the new challenge and year ahead.

Cammy stepping down is big news for Encounter Bay, any reasons why? Any news on who will take the mantle? Any other clubs "changing the guard" in the upcoming season?

Since Andy is down injured with his Knee, I would say that Goolwa would have a new skipper as well.

Heard Rapid Bay's recruitment team have been very active in the off season with Sam Trapolino being their number one recruit! With a few other GSCA recycled players in their mix no doubt we will see an extremely competitive Rapid Bay this season. This will hopefully prevent them dropping back to the B Grade next year as I believe an 8 team A Grade is perfect.
