Mickans useless to- to soft. You fellas need an old fashioned hard nosed coach to set them straight. Then send him our way.

Kicked some absolutely ripping goals on the run this season. Loved his attack on the footy this year, which wasn't always consistent previously.

Def right there ... always had ability . Just looks as tho his work rate has lefted two notches. His best was always brilliant but been in and out of games too much.

hopefully we can hang onto crossy. i dont feel like our list is too far off. Forward line looks dangerous when we get it in quick.

Really need a big strong back to help out. When Otto isnt with us , Crabby would have the worst job in the SANFL with little help.

Interested in peoples thoughts on Houlihan ??? From what ive seen this year im baffled as to how he played AFL footy . His skills are TERRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some chance of a vote. 30 touches, 7 tackles. Some very good handballs in tight.

I haven't seen the guy but there are a lot of hacks playing AFL. Players 20+ on an AFL list are probably only fair-to-good SANFL players. Many are much worse. For those of you who don't know the Eagles recruited Eddy from St Kilda for some reason. He was never going to be a dominant midfielder in the SANFL yet we wasted many $$$$ on him because he apparently played AFL. He had a couple of injuries but the times he is fit (such as now) he has shown how useless he is. Currently he is floundering in the reserves and can't get a kick there either. I am sure Houlihan is not as bad as Eddy who will no doubt be a leading candidate as one of the worst recruits (for money paid) ever, joining the likes of:

-Koops
-Toia
-Alvey
-Contessa

Others I've missed?

Thanks to Ronny Fulller, I heard Glenelg were planning on singing their team song on the oval again. Seems at three quarter time this was all they were thinking about.

Any bays fans got any spare SANFL memberships that might now be available for next week??????

Dangerous? The Bays?

I hope you have some tried and tested recruits lined up because it's not just Sammy that you are losing. Half your side can't wait to get out of there. You are very lucky not to have finished second bottom. Next year will see you drop to bottom, see ya later Massie and back to the drawing board and the dark days of sitting bottom for years to come.

The fact is your coach is shit. So is ours but that's other story.

Any so-called supporter who slags off a second year coach that has taken his team to a premiership in his first year has zero credibility. Even though The Eagles have a small supporter base you are one they would be better off without.

Houlihan isnt completely useless as a player. He works hard, is a good size. Can do some good things in close with his hands. But his kicking is as bad as your ever likely to see at league level let alone a former AFL listed player. His ball drop is that awkward and he turns the footy over time after time. Ive pointed it out a dozen or more times to mates at games in the last month when the balls been kicked to him in space , uncontested and he just burns it 90% of the time.

Serious question for bays fans .... Metcalfe .... Is it almost time to move him on? He's sacked mickan when you were 4th. Now Massie has taken you to 6th, I reckon he has to sack him as well, or walk himself. I can't believe he is sooooo outspoken, when he has not delivered anything himself?

Depends which way you look at it. Under his reign the club has become financial again, and up to this year has played finals footy every year since 2007. This year was always a year of rebuilding and getting games into the kids. Every "expert" tipped the Bays to finish bottom, and that didn't happen. Our reserves performed well with a very young squad and the 18's are in the finals again despite a massive turnover of players.

I'm not too disappointed about the year considering nor the job he has done.

Ahh you can tell when Glenelg have settled form the "mediocrity" finish - lot's of excuses for Massie and over on the Snout's Forum all is good - they are not eating there own.

So can we look for a good slide down the table in the next 2 years? Having said that with no confidence as a North suppoter we could possibly quite easily join you depending on how we recruit?
